But the other teams also suck. Is it so wild to think Miami beats the Saints, Jets, Steelers and Bengals?
No I mean Miami sucks more than those teams you listed, imo. I watched a lot of them today. It's vomit inducing.

Vrabel would do it because he knows it would make Stephen Ross force his next GM to keep Mike McDaniel and it would just **** up the entire new regime there for the next several years
Definitely.

How could they possibly fire him if they somehow make it? Would be crazy.

They have zero chance of winning their division. The 5 and 6 seeds are also probably long shots. They have a chance of squeaking into that 7 seed but it’ll probably end up coming down to tiebreakers.

Thing is, this is a front running team. Will they have the drive to push for that last win or two in late December/January that they need to just barely squeak in? Or will Chris Jones and his ilk pack it in, preferring to get an early start on vacation?
I’m not going with any of this yet.

I’ve seen them completely flip script before. As long as a record is possible, they could still get there.

In this case, 12-5 is still possible for them. Only thing that’s probably off the table for them now is the 1-2 seed. Very likely the divison, but Denver could start to lose some games.

They almost ****ed around and let Marcus Mariota beat them today. Without Terry McLaurin.

They are just bad. There’s no sugar coating it.
That's the thing. They aren't bad. They aren't great. They are just kind of there. They have always had talent. They have always had expectations. But something bad always happens.

Considering they've never had multiple losing streaks or been 5-5 at this point in the season since Mahomes has been the starter....

When have you seen them flip this script, exactly?

I need Jaguars/Chargers in the first playoff game at home like i need air to breathe.
This is one of those years where I almost don’t want the 1 seed because the team seems like they might do better to keep rolling with momentum. They’ll have already had a bye week just 4 weeks earlier, and whoever makes the 7 seed will most likely be pretty bad. It’s hard to pass up rest, but I think they’d benefit from staying locked in.

Exactly. They’re front-runners. I think half the team will pack it in by Christmas if they’re not comfortably in the playoff seeding by then.

Exactly. This is uncharted territory for them. Mahomie's long ball isn't there right now and quietly hasn't been for a while. Wasn't the only time that Brady missed the playoffs was the year he went down with the ACL? This is what happens when your offense is all smoke and mirrors AND propped up by the NFL.

I like the benefit of playing every playoff game at home (prior to the SB).
#1 seed is a real advantage, you don't pass that up.

02, and 08 they missed.

But yes, the NFL tried really hard to keep KC in the game, and keep Mahomes' INT count at 1. Still couldn't do it.

Definitely.

the chargers fired marty schottenheimer after going 14-2 in 2006... i don't think miami firing McDaniel after back dooring his ass into the playoffs would be crazy

Eagles getting their Center back 2nite.
Lions have multiple key starters out.
This will get ugly.

2002

Buffalo may get backup QB's (Texans, Bengals, Steelers) until the December 14th game.

Bad fortune for the Patriots.
