Just my two cents on the game since I don't post in the GDT due to me probably getting nasty with some folks. Its amazing how people swing in that thread every week play by play, its both frustrating and comical at the same time.
So I thought the rookies stepped up and the ball in the hands of Williams and Hendo (in space) is very exciting to behold. They won this game in my opinion and its a good confidence boost for these guys moving forward. I hope Josh took note of how dangerous they can be. Speaking of Josh every week I love some play calls and I scratch my head at others. The amount of times trying to run between the hashes for no gain (into the loving arms of Vita Vea) was a little much, is it designed to set something else up? Maybe, but it seemed to keep us in 3rd and long a lot more than I like.
Team win this week so many guys stepped up and made critical plays when needed, its hard to pick just one. So many unsung heroes doing the dirty work that doesnt often get recognized. Williams and Barmore didn't have a ton of stats this game but they kept crushing the pocket and it was impacting Baker and the Bucs ability to consistently move the ball.
Maye/Vrabel so much back and forth in the GDT about both. Live by the Drake die by the Drake is my moto. He is going to give us some unbelievable plays and then some wtf moments. I read peeps saying its ok he is young, new system etc etc...he will grow out of it. Maybe he does and maybe he doesnt. I dont care as long as there are a ton more of those plays that causes my jaw to drop because he ripped off his shirt and we saw that big "S" on his chest. I can deal with the occasional bonehead decision or pass. (No going to lie I thought the pick in the end zone erasing at least 3 was going to cost us the game)
As for Vrabel, yeah the fake kneel down on the 1 at the end of the half that resulted in going for it on 4th down, yeah not a fan. Its tough to get points in the NFL and I think you should take them when you can. But this is who Vrabel is, we have seen this in other games going for it on 4th down on your side of the 50. So far it hasn't bit him but it will at some point but I don't think it will stop him. Its very different from Bills approach to game strategy but this is no longer the Dynasty Patriots, that ship has sailed. Vrabel has turned this organization around and I'm rolling with whatever he thinks needs to happen to win. RIDE OR DIE B!%&#*$
