Who is the better coach Vrabel or Belichick?

  • Belichick

  • Vrabel

Results are only viewable after voting.

Who is the better human being

Vrabel by a mile

Safe bet Vrabel doesn’t bench Malcolm Butler for no good reason at all and throws away a Super Bowl.

BB, but we have to move on. He can't coach forever.

Arguably his worst coaching move with not electing for a FG in Super Bowl 42 on 4th and 13 and not challenging Pierre Woods' clear fumble recovery. Bill should've also taken over for Pees on the final drive of the game. Calling a zero blitz with Ellis Hobbs on Burress was idiotic.

Clive Rush, John Mazur, Rod Rust or Jerod Mayo?

Looking at this again, the way I am reading it, since the question uses the word "is", that means it is present tense - as in 'who is the better coach today', or 'who is the better coach in 2025'.

Props to you. You're the only hater to make a vote. Maybe I had you wrong.
Pointing out someone's mistakes (which Bill made plenty of in a 20 year period), does not equate to "hater". I've pointed out many blunders Brady had made over the years including his daydreaming against the Colts in the 2006 AFCCG where the entire sideline and Caldwell were waving him down for a walk in TD. That was the most uncharacteristic play I've even seen Brady make.

Another play he'd be the first to tell you he wanted back was him looking off a wide open White in a check down, but looking for the bigger play then getting stripped sacked by the time he tried to go back to White in the Super Bowl against the Eagles.

Kick the FG!! It reeked of ego and ignored the opposing team shutting his passing game down up to that point. You don't force things. Once that went incomplete, there was a sense of "they may actually lose this game."

Unfortunately, everything went against them. The Samuel drop. The non call for OL holding. The Tyree catch. The Burress TD happening with 35 seconds left. If the Burress TD happens with even a minute left, I am convinced that game goes into OT at minimum. 35 seconds left against an elite DL that knows you are going to throw it? Not a good situation. That final drive had "prayer" not "promise" all over it. But even so, that final play nearly hit. I don't think this drive should be pinned on Bill. So many weird things happened. And in the end, his defense gave up two TD's in a SB. If someone said that before the game, they would say the Patriots win in a blowout. It took until the second last drive for the offense to adjust.

I think Bill deserves much more blame for:

Trick play gone bad against Eagles
Kicking off to the Jets in OT
Oh, just running Stephen Jackson into the ground and conceiding HFA to Denver. You know, a place where noise is a huge factor. And what was a big problem in the AFC title game? Noise. There is no question in my mind the Patriots win that game at home. I will.go further and say it's at least a two score win.

Butler benching is obvious. If that had been a second year HC, he is shown the door that night.

Perpetually banging our heads against the wall

Vs.

Post nut clarity

Lol Vrabel hasn't been here that long and already benched someone for no good reason anymore known to us than Butler's. Interesting how they both do what they feel was needed and keep it in house.

Take your pick. You can only have 1.
Bill Belichick is not walking through that door. Ernie Adams is not walking through that door, and Scott Pioli is not walking through that door. And if you expect Belichick to walk through that door, he’s going to be gray and old and with Bunny and Mike’s Three Rings circus. What this team is is young, exciting, hardworking, and continuing to improve. And you don’t realize that, and as soon as you realize Belichick is not coming through that door, the better this site will be for all of us because there are young guys in that locker room playing their asses off. I wish we had Ladd McConkey and A. J. Brown. I wish we could buy the world. We can’t; the only thing we can do is watch the team work hard, and all the negativity that’s in this site sucks. I’ve been around when the I Don’t Care, I Can’t Stand It thread was started. I’ve been around the Super Bowl 51 game day thread. And it stinks. It makes the greatest site, best fan page in the world, lousy. The only thing that will turn this experience around for you is bring upbeat and positive like how the team is in that locker room. And if you think I’m going to succumb to negativity, you’re wrong. You’ve got the wrong guy posting on this website.

Seems like a lot of you don't like either. I figured the haters would be all over Vrabel but apparently they don't like him either.
