This is a terrible take.

The Pats are 7-2; first place in the division and currently the #2 seed in the AFC. Plus we have one of the easiest, if not the easiest, remaining schedule in the NFL.

He’s not gonna come out and announce it to the world, but of course Vrabel thinks the Pats are a contender this year. How could he, or anyone else for that matter, think otherwise given the facts listed above.

Obviously we are building for the future, but make no mistake, the Pats are a contender NOW. They may not be the favorites, but it’s foolish to say at this point in the season that they’re not in the mix.

I like what I’m seeing from Mendoza. Indiana was a nothing team for several years. He’s helped change that team around.

Heard the Colts gave up two 1st rd picks for Gardner…he’s a very good CB, not elite, and certainly not worth that price. This will come back and bite the Colts in the @ss.

Regardless the Colts won that Trade... Draft picks don't always pan out. Also the Colts have the Best Team in that Division.

This definitely remains to be seen. In the end, this will be a loose/loose scenario for both teams.

Sauce isn’t worth anything close to 2 first rounders and the Jets are the Jets.

This is could actually pay dividends for the Pats now and down the line.

Not the most athletic guy, but really good in the pocket, good arm.

Thought it seemed strange that the Bears viewed themselves as contenders to be making a trade (granting this isn’t a huge deal), but I just realized they’re 5-3. A couple of winnable games coming against the Giants and Browns, but they have a tough schedule beyond that. Packers twice (without Kraft though), Vikings, Lions, Eagles, 49ers, Steelers. And Caleb Williams still as QB. We’ll see how they do, could surprise me.
