Rice might become a Kendrick Bourne/Jakobi Meyers type. Not fast but has good size and mobility. Stick him on the practice squad eventually and see what happens.

He actually is pretty speedy, timed poorly at the combine, but consistently got separation and burned guys deep in college. And was used as a punt returner at Colorado, had a few punt return TDs. Had a 4.50 forty, which is faster than Bourne/Meyers, had a sub 7.00 three cone, a decent vert (36.5).

I really don’t know why he fell so low, he definitely had some good games in college.

He had a really poor contested catch rate coming out of college.

The biggest mistake you can make is assuming development is linear and next year will just be more of the same, injuries, harder schedule ect means it's far from guaranteed we'll be in this position again next year with a chance of even HFA in a wide open AFC.

Didn't work out for the Texans after CJ Strouds great year or the Commanders after the NFCCG game last year, you should do everything you can to try and improve the team today.

The counter-point is this kind of thinking is what leads a team to give up a 2nd for Mo Sanu.

Back then it was the end of the Dynasty and the thought was maybe adding one more WR would be enough to take us deep into the playoffs.

Now IMO we're at the beginning of the next Dynasty so let's be conservative when it comes to draft capital.

If you're talking about Brendan Rice, we got him for free. So I'm not sure using a draft pick on him would make much sense.
