Probably. That being said there has to be a significant amount to leeway given the ticketholders, at least 3 or 4 weeks before they change the time of a game to give that paying fans time to make changes to their arrangements
Best flex opportunity seems the best MNF, replacing MIA @ PIT. That’s 12 days notice. Bills game follows our bye week so would have to be announced NLT Tuesday of week preceding our bye. Thing is, our last game before the bye is on MNF, against the Giants. League might not want to over expose the Pats like that.

Flex opportunities on Sunday would be SNF, swapping for MIN @ DAL. Seems possible but not a compelling upgrade. The 4pm games on CBS are GB @ DEN or IND @ SEA. Don’t think either of them would be moved. Don’t know if they can flex across networks but if they can the Fox 4pm games are DET @ LAR or CAR @ NO. The latter might be a candidate.

Also note, flex to SNF or MNF requires 12 days notice, but flexing to 4pm Sunday timeslot only requires 6 days notice.

Where would you like it flexed? The primetime slots didn't justify a switch. The 4:25pm slot for East Coasters is the no man's land time slot. I'm on the West Coast and hate 1pm games.

I don't see any guy that began with an 'E", but it's Joey Iosefa in 2015.
That’s him.

This is the kind of game I expect will be a one score game into the 4th quarter. I half way want to see that happen. I want to see how this team does under the pressure of being in a close game deep into the 4th quarter.

The other half wants me to be dead wrong and this game be over by the 3rd quarter and we spend the entire 4th quarter killing the clock.
Yes, that’s what I want, too.

Should have been flexed to 4:05 replacing AZ @ SEA. That’s not a strong attraction.

West Coast teams don't get flexed to 10am unless they are away in the central/eastern time zones. No fans are going want to a 10am game.

To be the best you have to beat the best. Going to gave to play them somewhere. I’d rather it be at Gillette rather than Arrowhead.
Agreed there. We need to make Gillette a place opponents feared coming to play like before. Definitely wouldn't want to go to arrowhead. That's why winning and keeping pace in the AFC is so ever vital.

Win the conference and you also win your division.

I’ll take the two-fer please.
Agreed. Now if you don't win the conference but win your division you get a automatic home playoff berth.. keep pace in the AFC, if indy drops a game win your division and you got the 1 seed wrapped up. We are the #2 see currently.

Did you watch the bills game? This team unlike the teams of the past few years adjust in-game so you're not allowing yourself to be in those 4th quarter situations. Vrabel spoke on this. Last week was another example.. Josh even saying on the sidelines it's going to be like this all game with the score close.

Came out in the second half and blew doors Is the difference.. That's what you want to see out id your team. Speaking for myself that's more important to me as a fan how does my team adjust in-game not allowing themselves to wait until the 4th quarter to try to pull miracles. At that point it may be to late. No one, probably not even Vrabel could say that knew or forsaw his QB being at this level this soon. It's remarkable to watch Drake each week.

If there's too much telegraphing in that way any defense can shut it down. The RB (whichever is in there) must be able to run any play in the playbook. Including some Henderson interior runs and Jennings some outside runs. Every NFL team is good enough to stop something if they know what's coming.
Most definitely. I was just alluding to what T. Henderson excels at. He can run off/in between the tackles but his strength is getting outside, tosses out the backfield utlitlizing his speed. Like what we saw against Cleveland.

@n1997y

You never root for a team in your division. You want to keep the space between Buffalo. That gives us cushion provided we trip up down the stretch.
I agree with that. First things first, and the division comes first.

So the way I think it would work is their game doesn’t change. The telecast audience changes. They play at the same time, 1:05PT kickoff, and the telecast of that goes to their local markets. The NE - TB kickoff time changes to 4:05 and the telecast goes to everyone else. Network can backfill the local NE and TB markets with the game of their choice. NBD.

Yes sir, BB preached this all the time you have to win your division first. Can't control what happens in the conference you can control what happens in your division. Also with a 17 game schedule there is no longer the 2nd seed playoff bye week like we benefited off for years. Personally I believe the competition committee should vote this back in.

It’s not the 17 game schedule it’s the expanded wild card field. They needed to take away the second bye week to make the numbers work. They can’t just vote it back in without somehow changing the number of games being played.

Ok, but…we’re talking about who to root for in a third-party game. So “control” really isn’t on the table.

With all of the other top teams having to face each other multiple times and the Patriots only looking at one game against the Bills, the bye isn’t a totally unrealistic possibility. So if you’re looking at the best path not only to the playoffs but to the Super Bowl, rooting against KC is a reasonable choice. As I’ve said before, I’m just psyched one of them will lose. (Or should we be rooting for a tie?)
