Who is most important to the turn around so far Vrabel or Drake?

OK Folks I didn't make the rules in fact I don't even like them but Patsfans has spoken and the rules have been firmly set forth in the Brady forum and in the Bill mega thread you are only allowed to choose one (and no Josh doesn't count sub rules firmly set forth coordinators don't count)
RLKAG!!@!!

My aploogies - I mistyped. I believe that posters should NOT be banned, I forgot the NOT which was the key word. Huge fail on my part.
Not at all. I knew what you meant.

All great points but in the bigger picture I'm not ready to label this a real turnaround yet. We still need talent. I think we still need to find more of it in FA and in the draft next April, and maybe even 2 Aprils from now. I also remember 2021 and how we looked at this point of that season and how I felt about where we were at... and that ended so badly that I don't want to do that again.
But do you remember Arther Love, "star" TE of YOUR Super Bowl XXXVI Champion New England Patriots? Yeah me neither. You take the point -- I'd love every piece in place as if it werent the salary cap/FA era. I'd love 4 more Will Campbells on the line, and so on and so on. No 1000-yard receivers that whole first dynasty, if I remember correctly. Maybe 1 in 2004.

But do I rate this team as prohibitive underdogs to win the SB this year? No. They can go all the way. It's not likely -- although more likely than, say, the 2001 squad.

I think Tampa will be as huge test, and the Falcons will be a lesser test. From what I've seen, I expect us to meet those tests (and for everybody to go "uh-ohhhhhh" after the TB game, finally realizing that Drake's playing some next-level ball.)

But we'll see. My point in the bigger picture is that you can't hold on for perfection before rooting for your team again, and I mean heart on the line rooting for them.

We CAN win it all this year! F****!!! When was the last time that was a thing?

And if we don't... if we end up figuring out all the playoff possibilities and OMG seeing that we'd need to win 4 on the road to win it, boo hoo. Been there, done that.

And now most threads will be turned into Vrabel vs Drake.

That's not what's happening. %90 of the board hates Bill Belichick.

If you hate the man that gave you your entire franchises success than you're not a fan of that team simple as that.
OK do you think you’re slightly exaggerating the truth here?

LoL "Once in a while"

I haven't posted in the Schitzo thread in a couple of weeks. In that time 20 new pages.

A new hate Bill thread was opened:

An old one was brought back from the dead:

So yeah I opened a poll just to make a point about how rediculous it is to put a Head Coach in competition with his own QB.
At this point you have become the Belichick of Patsfans.

You were once a great poster who was well respected but have now fallen into becoming a shell of your former self.

Nope. Probably understating it. This is the leading place in New England to hate Bill Belichick.
Didn’t you say you were deleting your account?

Onto a more intelligent topic about our HC...

Vrabel was not my choice for HC I just wanted a coach here that was best for the team not best for nostalgia... but I'm very happy he is now. Tbh he wasn't one of my favorite coaches as a Titan either... just seemed like a bit of a douche. Anyone else feel that way?

The thoughts exhibited on this subject are those of a 12 year old who doesn’t understand football or team sports at all.

A great QB on a bad team is screwed, a great coach with bad players is screwed. What don’t you understand?

Initially, I wasn't excited about the hire due to he previous struggles in Tennessee, the track record not being good for defensive coaches and Bob having a hard time letting go of anyone tied to BB. Late into last season, Ben Johnson was my favorite for the Pats job until the defensive injuries caught up to him and he relied on gimmicks to keep his offense in the game. The divisional round really exposed him. He's done a decent job so far in Chicago, but I think he regrets passing on NE.

After Vrabel's first press conference addressing "entitlement", I liked what I heard from him.

I can state this unequivocally: the vast majority of members on this site do not hate Bill Belichick. In fact, most of us feel indebted to him for what he accomplished in New England. We also recognize that BB stumbled his last few years here and since has experienced challenges both on/off the field -- some of them embarrassing, self-inflicted and seemingly avoidable. But discussing those missteps doesn't equate to hatred and it's important to discern the difference.

On the other hand, we have A FEW folks here (haters) who revel in seeing people like BB fail. You seem over-focused on that minority. Just let it go and enjoy what's happening with the new regime.
