It's easy, and only takes a few moments.I really do not blame him for signing to that big money deal even though he knew they aren't going to win. The Browns were going to Franchise tag him for 3 straight years, so he might have well sign the big contract to protect against injurySeeing him sitting morosely alone after an all-world performance, realizing that nothing he gives that team can matter and that his contract makes him untradeable…oof.
Everybody keeps saying “he went for the money” but IMO it’s a little different when you stick with the team that drafted you. It’s not like he leapt from a championship-caliber team to the highest-bidding loser. Like, say, Milton Williams.
You were ball -washing Jeudy, pounding the table for the Pats to trade for him at one point. My how your tune has changed.Did somebody say Jerry Jeudy?? I can't help it.
I agree that he will figure it out, I am just hopeful that he doesn't take a massive hit that drives his shoulder into and separates his shoulderIt's not, but you know what? He'll figure it out, he's 23.
Might not figure it out this year. But I think he will eventually.
Still can't believe they threw at Gonzo 1v1 on 4th down.Jerry Jeudy - 2 targets, 0 catches.
Gonzalez put him in jail.
Further evidence that Drake would be better off with a lower completion percentage. Need some "throw the damn ball away" lessons.

And PPF graded Campbell high and Onwenu/Bradbury low.
Seems like Campbell did better when he was one-on-one than when the screwed up the spacing or timing on a TE chip:
Guess I'm doing pretty well.. I guess the Patriots of the past few seasons still has an effect on my thinking.. I didn't think we'd be this good this soon and it's been a revelation for sure.. so please don't mind me if you see my post appear to be worrisome on an opposing teams weapons.Sure.
It's really been a big problem. The Patriots could have won by 26 instead of 19 yesterday.
And Kyle Pitts? Had the best game of his career yesterday. 9 catches, 70 yards in a blowout loss, most of it coming in garbage time.
No, I'm not concerned. If not covering TEs is your worst issue, then you're doing pretty well.
Multi talented Marcus...It's not, but you know what? He'll figure it out, he's 23.

Yeah. I mean, name the last Patriots LB who could cover a TE. (Hint: It was over a decade ago)Guess I'm doing pretty well.. Seeing roller skates eliss on a TE is...
Jaime Collins could except in AFCCGs..Yeah. I mean, name the last Patriots LB who could cover a TE. (Hint: It was over a decade ago)
There are like, maybe 2 teams that have coverage linebackers that good.
You gotta trust what you're seeing, my friend. Leave the past in the past.

Patriot defense is 16th in receptions allowed to TE and 17th in yards, per ChatGPT, after having to ask 3 times to get it right.I have a serious question too have you seen our coverage against TEs?
your 5 plus DEN and BALT should be the 7.If you have a QB that can get you 30 points a game, including games against good defenses, then you are a Super Bowl contender. Case closed.
Pats weakness on defense is lack of success pressuring the QB on a regular basis. Trey Hendrickson would be the ideal fit for the biggest weakness. Very interested to see how they do against Mayfield.
Where do Pats rank in AFC?
By record we have: Colts, Broncos, Steelers, Bills, Chargers, Jags, Chiefs, Texans.
Texans have a good defense, won't matter, Stroud is nowhere near Mayes level. Jags have Lawrence? Nope.
Broncos are good but the QB spot is a weakness. Despite the much better talent around Nix I could never pick Nix over Maye in a game.
Steelers: Patriots dominated the Steelers all game long, had 5 TO's and was still a DD fall forward from probably going to OT. The Pats were clearly the better team that day.
So: Colts, Chiefs, Bills, Chargers, Patriots. That's the 5 IMO.
Let's see the Pats vs Bucs and then Bills again and then can give a better idea of the ranking in that 5.

Adalius Thomas wiped out TE's in 2007. Colvin's loss was underrated. Thomas was by far the best.Jaime Collins could except in AFCCGs..
Agreed. You've cured my worries
Re: the slow start, they really could have should have gotten a three and out. A blown coverage and some trickery and the “slow start” description lives on, and for good reason.
I can live with KC out of respect, but the Steelers are already fading (so they are irrelevant).
But you have to back up your claims regarding the Chargers, Texans, Colts and Broncos. Ravens with Lamar will be a pain in the ass, but they aren't going to make the playoffs unless other teams implode. Pats already beat the Bills and have only gotten better since that game.
BTW, the crowd noise was louder today than I ever remember. During the Brady years, the crowd got too complacent. The years in between, there hasn't been much to cheer about. Gillette will never be confused with Arrowhead, but it is good to see the crowd at least be loud again.
