Garrett is the consummate pro to bad he plays for a team with ****ty ownership.

Seeing him sitting morosely alone after an all-world performance, realizing that nothing he gives that team can matter and that his contract makes him untradeable…oof.

Everybody keeps saying “he went for the money” but IMO it’s a little different when you stick with the team that drafted you. It’s not like he leapt from a championship-caliber team to the highest-bidding loser. Like, say, Milton Williams.

Scary but true, if you couldn’t see the future and only had similar points in their careers to judge by, I think you take Maye over TFB 99 times out of 100, if you had to choose only one.

We Pats fans have been really blessed.

Amazing how NE can always start poorly and then dominate thereafter. Dylan Gabriel really shredded them though!
if the Browns have the patience to stick with Gabriel while he figures things out, which they won't, but if they do, he might become something of a problem.

Bills board lol

I loled at one of them saying all our weak schedule is missing is a game against Appalachian State. Lol

The pats top 4 WRs (Diggs, Boutte, Hollins & Douglas):

124 targets 97 receptions 78.2% comp pct. 1,271 yards 10 TDs

For comparison, arguably the pats deepest WR room outside of 2007 in 2016 (Edelman, Hogan, Mitchell, Amendola):

294 targets 191 receptions 65% comp pct. 2,430 yards 15 TDs

While some of their stats are attributable to Maye, the pats WR group has been the second biggest surprise of the season. They are consistently getting separation & beating man coverage in a way the team hasn't had the ability to in nearly a decade.

Appalachian St. could probably win the AFCN.

if the Browns have the patience...

I tried to read the rest but...

We're starting to look like the Pats of '01-'06.
1. A tight-nit group without any real #1 offensive weapons, but an ensemble cast of serviceable guys, where any one can be the "feature" of any game. (this week it was Hollins & Henderson)
2. A very stout & deep rotational front 7 that can shut down the run, and do enough with pass pressure to allow a top 5 CB trio shut down your best WR's (Gonzo, Davis & Jones)
3. A QB who understands how to play within the system, and does what's needed to keep drives alive, and strike down the field when needed.
4. A smart & tough HC who knows how to motivate, relate to players, and captain a very veteran group of coord's and position coaches.

If only their schedule already had a win against... I don't know... the defending champions of the division... maybe the team that the members of that board are fans of? What's that team's name again?

Browns commentators after the game were impressed with Maye too.

Who isn’t?

I haven’t checked the Chiefs board yet but I would expect something similar there.

Maye is THE player you want if you are drafting a team from existing players and you have the first pick.

Only now realizing that Jerry Jeudy didn’t even have a target all game. Gonzo getting healthy?
Didn't he get targeted on a TD at least once, which Gonzo broke up?

It pains me to say it but Ross is right. Gonzo even yapped at him a bit on one of the break ups

It’s gonna be awfully tough to sweep Buffalo.

We’ll have a shot. But that feels like a let down spot for a young team.
They may lose to Buffalo but there is no way in hell it will be because of a "let down spot" because they are a young team. Huh, it will be the biggest game of the year and they will be jacked for it. It will be a great game and it is fun to have great games to look forward to again. It has been a while. But there is a lot of football between now and then to enjoy.

According to the thread, the Patriots barely beat the Bills because of Shawn Hoculi and because the Bills didn’t play well that day.
