Damn 5 in a row. Incredible what this offseason accomplished and what Vrabel has put together on top of Drake’s development. Excited to watch this team against better competition and excited as hell that we will be playing meaningful football in December and January. I hope that first drive in the 2nd half was just a sample of what McD can do with Drake and this offense in another month or two.
do the Falcons count as better competition? They beat the Bills, but got smoked by a Dolphins team that seemed to have given up. Do we have to wait for the Bucs to see where we are?

Nah. We don't play anybody.
We're back on the same tired playbook from the last 25 years. We never play anybody.

They put up 400+ yards on the best defense since the 85 Bears, and held Walter Payton Quinton Judkins to 18 yards on 8 carries.

Holy crap assuming everyone stays healthy, they legit have a chance to win it all. Maye just keeps pumping out solid to stellar outings, and this time it was with getting beaten up by "I want to win, and I'll do anything [except probably take a massive paycut]" Garrett.

I'm not going to say they're going to win out.

But they'll be in every game. Show me who they'll be big underdogs to.

Tampa will be favored, but probably by less than a field goal. I can't imagine Buffalo would be favored in Foxboro at this rate.
It’s gonna be awfully tough to sweep Buffalo.

We’ll have a shot. But that feels like a let down spot for a young team.

For what? We win by 3 scores, our QB has another great game and is the MVP favorite. We stay in 1st place at 6-2 with the second best record in the conference and his first post is we are the 7th best team in the AFC.
For Sam that’s positive.

I feel like "a letdown" is something that this team is not going to let happen. I'm not saying they will win out (or even that they will definitely beat the Bills) but I feel like the mental preparation of the team won't let them have a letdown.

Gotta feel a bit bad for Browns fans. I listened to post game coverage and they are a beaten fan base.

They are ready to mutiny against ownership if Dillon Gabriel starts the next game, kind of like Pats fans were ready to boycott the team if Mayo returned for another year.

At least we had Maye to look forward to.

The Browns fans are clamoring for Shadeur Sanders.

I'm glad that at least the Pats are giving us something to get excited about this season.

Wildly exceeding my expectations for this season so far
Tempered by

5 of 6 wins have been against horrible teams

1 loss at home against a bad team (raiders)

Way ahead of where I thought they would be

Probably 7th best team in AFC right now
8 AFC teams better than pats

KC, Denver, Chargers, Colts, Steelers, Bills, Ravens with Lamar, possibly Texans

If Drake second half season matches his first half, there's no ****ing way he doesn't win the MVP.

You can't have a whole ass season at 75% completion rating and 6 int and not.

That said. They'll **** him.

Looks like theyre back after the bye

You're actually pathetic with this.

Going to say something I didn't think I would this year this. "Are the Bills really better than the Patriots?"

That's it. That's what I'm now wondering. It isn't just because we beat them. I am thinking about the teams and I am wondering... Maybe the Pats are better? Just plain better. Full stop. A superior team. And if that is the case, they should be favored to win the division handily given the advantages they have right now.

When you think about it. The entire argument for the Bills being better is Josh Allen's ability to go absolute beast mode. But we have Maye. And he has done it game after game now for a while now.

Maybe this isn't just a streak for Maye that is unsustainable. Maybe this is who he is. Maybe he's not soon to be elite. Maybe he already is. Maybe he isn't soon to be up there with Allen and Lamar. Maybe he is up there and he will just keep proving it week in week out from this point forward.

If that is the case. The Bills don't have the QB edge. They cancel out. And if that is the case who has the better 52 right now?

The Pats D has issues, but it is better than the Bills by a decent amount. Pass catchers are a wash.. maybe the Pats even have the edge there. Now it is the OL and run game. Clearly the Bills have Cooks. But match up wise that doesn't help them much. Then is the Bills oline and whatever bump they get from Cooks enough to offset our defensive edge. We have seen the Bills have weaknesses too this year, just like us.

If the game was played on a neutral site should the Patriots be... Dare I say it ... Favored?

You know who isn't here anymore.

That one was an actual good punch out play, tbh. Can't get too mad about it.
Thank god "you know who" isn't here any more.

But they haven't had a "great" game, either.

The last 2 games the offense has averaged 31 points & 400 yards and the defense has allowed on average 13 points and 230 yards. In the nfl that's pretty much the definition of great. Seems you are looking for them to play flawlessly which just not sure that's possible in today's nfl.
