If you have a QB that can get you 30 points a game, including games against good defenses, then you are a Super Bowl contender. Case closed.
Pats weakness on defense is lack of success pressuring the QB on a regular basis. Trey Hendrickson would be the ideal fit for the biggest weakness. Very interested to see how they do against Mayfield.

Where do Pats rank in AFC?
By record we have: Colts, Broncos, Steelers, Bills, Chargers, Jags, Chiefs, Texans.

Texans have a good defense, won't matter, Stroud is nowhere near Mayes level. Jags have Lawrence? Nope.
Broncos are good but the QB spot is a weakness. Despite the much better talent around Nix I could never pick Nix over Maye in a game.
Steelers: Patriots dominated the Steelers all game long, had 5 TO's and was still a DD fall forward from probably going to OT. The Pats were clearly the better team that day.

So: Colts, Chiefs, Bills, Chargers, Patriots. That's the 5 IMO.
Let's see the Pats vs Bucs and then Bills again and then can give a better idea of the ranking in that 5.

Just a reminder that they put up 422 yards and 32 points yesterday against one of the statistically better defenses in the NFL.

Oh, and as long as Maye is healthy, this team should only get better. But don’t tell anyone!

I knew there was a chance T. Henderson could be a factor against this Browns D... he should have alot more confidence know.. that fumble was just a good play from the defender... he isn't a fumble expert like rham..

He had 667 touches in college and no fumbles. at least this one yesterday wasn't costly.

Even KC as long as their refs don't try to steal one.

Everything goes through Bijan Robinson for them and our Run D is Elite. Penix Jr can't outduel Maye in a shootout. Also you would think Kyle Pitts would be dominant in the TD department: he's very underwhelming there. I think we win in another Blowout: Gillette is now HFA happy days are here again.

Cleveland's defense is very good, but they are on the field a lot. If they had a QB, they could be pretty good but they are the Browns so I don't anticipate that happening ever.

The Ravens with Lamar have a really good offense. But their defense is objectively horrendous. The Pats ought to be able to put up 35 points on them easy.

I am going by what is reported by all the media and the Bengals themselves. I am not a doctor. I just don't make crap up to fit my agenda. Every single report says that he won't be back until December. He could come back earlier. It is doubtful.

Cleveland has a better defense than Atlanta and Maye and company carved it up in the second half. And Atlanta has several starters on defense who didn't play yesterday. So they may not play next week either.

And you saw one commentator on CBS saying the Patriots are definitely going to win the AFC East. You made it sound like everyone is saying it. Here is a little piece of information for you. These sports analysts are paid to make hot takes. They are supposed to make takes that will generate ratings and clicks and not make safe takes. Since it was a newer guy, it stands to believe he is trying to make a name for himself for making hot takes.

And the Pats have not beaten any good teams other than the Bills. They can only play the teams on their schedule. But then again, the Bills haven't really beaten anyone at all. The Bills beat Baltimore, but almost every team who faced Baltimore this year has beaten Baltimore. Their other wins are against the Jets, Dolphins, Panthers (without Bryce Young), and the Saints. They haven't beaten a team with a winning record. At least the Pats can say they beat the Bills.

I think so too.. but remember we are a slow starting defense in first Quarter.. Kyle Pitts.. against Ice skates Ellis is scary.. we do have elite running D.. I'm so happy to have winning football back in Gillette!
