I was completely wrong on White.
Thought he would have a great year, now he looks like a guy who might have a very short NFL career.

I said in the pregame thread that I was convinced he would thrive in the Vrabel system because they have their front four pin their ears back and rush far more than they ever did in previous Patriots systems. Boy was I wrong. He does lack a repertoire of moves and just bull rushes. And he probably too big to play outside in a 3-4 and too small to play inside.

Let me say this...

MVP...MVP....MVP.

That is all.

(God it feels good to say it and actually mean it)

Was maye able to get down fast enough to avoid that hit on the trick play /throw to hollins? If so even better!
Not sure, but at the time I thought it was going to be disastrous - either a huge loss or a pick.

I felt like it was way too obvious what was happening, too slow to develop, and everybody could see what was happening.

Lots of posters need to admit they were wrong (they won't) on White. He's had two good games in 2024, but has been awful since he was drafted.

The only reason why I was hopeful this year was because he is just pass rusher (and limited at the ways he pass rush). I just thought he might thrive since there is so much an emphasis on D-linemen to get up field to the QB.

I had no delusions that up until going into this season, he wasn't anything more than all potential and next to no production.

Never seen a defense look so meh on first drives. Only to shut the door the rest of the way.

Good that they adjust. Can't do that against great teams.

Good that there aren't any 'great' teams out there this year

White = Challenged too short.

Atlanta was without their Starting QB and Top WR.

Doesn't explain why the #2 defense let the dolphins offense put up 340 yards and 34 points. Tua was 20/26 with 4 TDs Most points that offense has scored this season.

Saw a stat the Daniel Jones has been sacked only 7 times all year. Maye was sacked 6 times TODAY. Could you imagine how much MORE damage Maye could do, even if they cut the sacks in half ? As it is Maye is doing a great job, need to get him more Oline help in the offseason.

Daniel Jones has been sacked three times today and they are only halfway through the third quarter.

Most saw that this would be a year of testing for Whie and Jennings. Most media suggested that White wouldn't fit in to Vrabel defense

so?
The patriots showed that there is more to measuring an Offense that looking at the sack count.

top defenses should not consistently lose to weak offenses in the first drive

Have you watched the Belichick defenses over the years even when they were top offenses? They consistently lost to weak offenses on opening drives. Why? Because Belichick liked to start the game with softer vanilla defenses so he could see what opposing offenses were trying to do so he could make the proper adjustments. I knew he was doing, was always maddening to me that he called defenses like this.

Why can't the Patriots win the AFC East? Have you looked at their schedule vs. the Bills schedule? The Bills still have KC, Eagles, Tampa, Houston, Pittsburgh, and Cincy possibly with Burrow back and of course the Patriots. The only tough games the Pats have left are Buffalo, Tampa, and maybe Baltimore. The Pats have the Falcons next week maybe without Penix.

And the Bills just beat the Panthers with Andy Dalton at QB and most of their o-line going out injured in this game.

The Pats right now have the head to head advantage over the Bills and much easier schedule left. And one more win (although they have played one more game). I give the Patriots a very good chance that they will win the AFC East. It is far from a guarantee, but they could be 12-5 or 13-4 by the end of the year.
Pats have to face Cinci, on 11/23 and do we know if Burrow is out? That is almost 4 weeks away.

Tampa, Buffalo and Baltimore are potential losses. The Pats could lay an egg anytime too. Jets won today.

Im not counting my chickens until the eggs hatch.

I was just pointing out that the Colts are struggling with giving up sacks today too.

Any tailgating shots?

Alright, 10 sacks all year.
