If they had kept either one they would be a contender in the NFC.

The Vikings owner must be apoplectic that the management decided to let BOTH Sam Darnold and Jones go.
If they had kept either one they would be a contender in the NFC.
As it stands now, they are a bottom third team.

Letting Daniel Jones and Sam Darnold walk was a disaster decision.

D Jones' decision to go to the Colts will be a huge reminder to FA QBs to put a greater emphasis on the OL when picking their next contract. Jones looks reborn with a strong OL and RB.

I had this game on my second screen so I wasn't paying super attention to it, but it was 24-3 and then the Vikings kicked a FG to make it 24-6, and then it goes to commercial.

But then later I see the Vikings score a TD to make it 24-10, so what happened? Did the D get penalized during the commercial? Did that guy who threw the flag on Diggs in New Orleans make another super late call?

I don't think any of us knew or thought Daniel Jones would rise from the ashes like the Phoenix. That said: a Great OL and RB makes even an average QB life easy.

I was really surprised they didn’t make more of a move to keep Darnold, but I guess they had committed to McCarthy at that point. Overconfidence on O’Connell’s part that he could do it with any QB?

If I want someone to GET me to the playoffs Sam Darnold is a good choice. If I want someone who won't **** the bed in the playoffs he's not.

There were two flags. One to give them another play and then another PI at the 1 to give them the TD.
