It’s early. Mid OCT. both MIA & NYJ losing is key. Unless something crazy happens - and you really never know - both of those teams are already on pace to be fighting for 3rd / 4th in the AFCE. There is a decent chance that neither team will get to 6 wins this season and it seems likely NE will surpass that number.

Why would we care about Miami or the jets? They both have zero chance to challenge for the playoffs.
They may be the 2 worst teams in the NFL.

These slow starts are all well and good when we're playing teams like the Saints and Titans. But against the good teams they're not going to cut it. Gotta clean that up.

if they keep losing, I would think that would increase their chances of trading away players (Hall, Waddle..). Anything that weakens them and makes our games against them easier I am all for.
On sheer talent we should beat them regardless, but division games are always tricky (like Miami beating us when we were good, and they were not).

I was thinking the same.
Our D has started slow every game.
We do that against a good team and we have one or two bad drives on O to start the game we could find ourselves down 2 or more scores in a real hurry.
Gotta be better on D on the opening drive, it's been really bad.

Giants collapsed. Up 19-0 and 26-8 (with 5 + minutes left), now down 30-26.

Geez, Giants scored a TD, but missed the extra point ! Giants now up 32-30, Denver has 37 seconds left with no times out. Field goal wins it for them !

Denver scored 33 points in the 4th quarter, pure insanity. Gotta give Nix credit, the 2 huge comebacks vs Philly & the NYG. No game is safe with Nix in there. I give Dart some credit, after the collapse, he brought them downfield to take a lead with 37 seconds left. Giants defense choked.

We are so, so lucky that Vrabel was available. What was Ms. Amy thinking? And sadly, we are so lucky that Mayo was so bad that he didn’t even warrant a 2nd season, because there’s no way Vrabel wasn’t getting another HC job this past offseason.

And Drake emerging as the leader and as a star…. I’m feeling very fortunate and blessed to be a Pats fan.

This may have usurped Al Davis handing is Randy Moss as “dumbest move ever by an owner that then helped a rival”.

In fact, I’d bet Strunk being an absolute muppet will directly lead to a VERY special run in NE for years.
