Remember all the people on this board that were constantly beating the "you need to hire a top OC as HC! it's the only way to win a Super Bowl!" drum. Gotta love the groupthink in the NFL!

Well, that was silly. This league is littered with genius coordinators who were horrible head coaches over the decades. The two roles require different skill sets.
It is an offensive driven league and the odds are better to have an elite team with an offensive minded head coach, but there are no guarantees that any OC is going to be a good head coach. Look at Mike McDaniel down in Miami. He was a great OC, but he doesn't have the temperament or gravitas to be a head coach. Hence why none of the players respect him down there.
