If you don't log in, and look on another platform, the ADs are actually obtrusive ,they're really bad.
98% is on my phone, when I look on my laptop without logging in, it's REALLY Bad.

What ads? I don't see any on the forum. I always wondered why you didn't have any, particularly for the non-supporters.

No ads to registered members. Made that change a while ago since it didn’t make any sense to make life difficult, especially given how some of the ads are through all the various networks. Not to mention they’re not fans of forum impressions as it is (they pay almost nothing) so I didn’t see the point. But they do appear to lurkers, casual non-registered viewers, etc.

That’s not exclusive to here. They’re bad everywhere, but putting one or two ads on a page is no longer viable. Sort of annoying that it’s 2025 and that ad concept hasn’t improved (and that the networks still lock up/crash browsers) and with the arrival of AI, it only continues to get worse.

But I’m not going to get into it any further because that will just frustrate me.

Hello, this is just a dumb but heartfelt post to express my appreciation and gratitude for the hard work that @Ian (dude's a Saint in my book) and the Mods put into making this the best gosh darn sports board on the planet. I know I can speak for countless others when I say the experience at other team message boards/ forums does not even sniff the hint of Air that PatsFans.com is encompassed by. These other sites are boring, lifeless, inorganic nonsense tunnels. Sure, PF has plenty of nonsense, but its handled in a reasonable manner/time, which certainly can't be said about other forums. I also think we forget how awesome PF is and take it for granted sometimes.

The enjoyment I receive from this site has been great over the years and I really do encourage anyone who visits this site regularly to support to help this great team continue the crazy background stuff that goes into running and continuously improving a site like this. Thank you for your time!

Lol, I know you weren’t blaming me. You and I were just sharing a similar frustration. Albeit, I may be a little more annoyed about the current state of things than you.

Yeah I had a different username on an old laptop I wasn’t very tech savvy back then at all. at that point I only fired up the PC to check on my Pats.
Once my laptop broke I tried to get back on numerous times but it wouldn’t give me access to the name back. Might of been like Chris R 717 or Crazychris Pats or Lanc Pats fan honestly I don’t recall I had to change my username many times cause I kept having issues.

I used to log in from my work computer a lot back then til my manager had IT check to see how many times I was on and My manager printed out a log. And he’s like wtf are you talking about football in April and my friend is sitting there and he’s like ugh NFL draft prep really?

One the funniest and proudest moments I had of being a fan.

I remember Nem, Mrs Bruschi, I think she used to give a really good camp report post a lot of photos really was helpful.

My memory is failing me as I’m in my 40s, combined with a stress of a fractured marriage and stressful job lol.

I wish I could recall other standout posters from then.

Unfortunately, I was an AOLe for the first half of the dynasty and didn't arrive here until 2012. I don't think I could thank Ian and the mods enough for the time and effort they put into this site. It's the best (by a long shot) that I've ever been involved with.

Two names on the previous list stood out to me from the time I first arrived here. They were Harry Boy (a star on the pofo) and Joker (a like minded anti-Goodell poster who was on the same page as I concerning his Jet history). Both of those guys were as honest as the day is long and I appreciated that. May they rest in peace.

I've tried to convey to our two 40+ year old sons just how great this site is but they don't seem to be fans of message boards, even though one has a gaming site and the other is a big time sports fan. It's been a Godsend for me in my later years though. I've learned a hell of a lot about the game here. Thanks to everyone for that.
