I left the board for several years when I decided I had to go cold turkey on football, and was amazed at how many familiar names I found when I returned this year. A community indeed!
I live many states away where there aren’t many Pats fans, so I’ve always appreciated having someplace to come and talk about the team. Thanks to everyone who has made this place what it is.

I actually give Mrs B and even Ian partial credit however minute it might be for the way news is covered these days. For better or worse lol.
They weren't the first bloggers or whatever and I think we'd have got to the current state either way. But someone had to get things going and I think this sight and moreso the way Mrs B covered training camp impacted the way local reporters did too and then the Boston Sports market was/is very much is part of real journalistic trends.

I think around December of 2000 is when the original board came online, which was hosted by a friend of mine who has since passed. I moved to my own server after a crash of his server in December of 2005.

Hello, this is just a dumb but heartfelt post to express my appreciation and gratitude for the hard work that @Ian (dude's a Saint in my book) and the Mods put into making this the best gosh darn sports board on the planet. I know I can speak for countless others when I say the experience at other team message boards/ forums does not even sniff the hint of Air that PatsFans.com is encompassed by. These other sites are boring, lifeless, inorganic nonsense tunnels. Sure, PF has plenty of nonsense, but its handled in a reasonable manner/time, which certainly can't be said about other forums. I also think we forget how awesome PF is and take it for granted sometimes.
The enjoyment I receive from this site has been great over the years and I really do encourage anyone who visits this site regularly to support to help this great team continue the crazy background stuff that goes into running and continuously improving a site like this. Thank you for your time!
lol, server isn’t here, it’s on a managed dedicated server. Although, I’m pondering finally doing my own. With everything sort of collapsing ad-wise, it may make more sense cost wise and I think I finally know enough to handle anything that might come up.
Holy crap I remember all these posters now. Some blasts from the Past. I was on when this site first launched I have to go back to find my old username my iPhone is not loading a thing lol. I would love to see it from the beginning find my old usernames years prior. But thank you for this I remember starting off on the messageboard on Patriots.com and getting those Patriot weekly papers that and Sunday ticket was a godsend.

I'll definitely help with the hardware purchase, Lotsa fast ram, and NVME with crap HDD's as a backup.
I'm an AMD Guy, that may cramp some folks....but whatever....
I've been here a lot longer than it says, forgot passwords/ different computers.
This place has ALWAYS been awesome (minus 1 crazy woman that's not here anymore).

I returned just before the draft this year, and in the few months since I managed to injure my arm so I couldn't type for weeks, then was laid out by a concussion, then came down with COVID for the first time. The universe seems to be shouting "STAY AWAY FROM FOOTBALL YOU FOOL," but I'm not listening.
@mike_usagisan and @ErniesPinkStripes nailed it. Feel exactly the same way as them. Thanks to all those involved in the site! And those that aren’t involved, even more so. You are what makes this place great.
