Jones also just stood there on the other Lawrence TD run. Then TV showed him looking at a tablet on the sideline all disgusted as he threw it down on the ground.

Thats because that PI in the end zone wouldn't be called.
The NFL fired 3 Refs involved with a KC game last season.

It's funny to see Kelce sitting on the bench all by himself with a sad face as the game slips away.

Mahomes will never be Brady. Brady fought to the last second and never cried on the bench woe is me.

It is a win for the Pats no matter who loses when it is 2 AFC teams fighting for the playoffs. And as much as it is fun to see KC lose... The Jags are no 4-1 and have a pretty easy schedule too.

I have said since the beginning of the year this is a playoffs or bust kind of year and if they fail to make the playoffs it will be a massive waste. We need playoff experience if we want this team to get where we want it to go in the next few years. That and of course keep building and particularly keep drafting well.

In any case the point is even if KC loses to the Lions and go 2-4... I don' believe they will be out of the playoffs. Not until they are officially out.

Jags on the other hand have a fairly mild schedule and a nice 4-1 with arguably the 2 teams they were the most worried about to start the year behind them.

Playoffs race IMO is a 8 team race. I already have any teams 1-4 or worse dead in the water. Jets, Dolphins, Browns, Titans, Raiders... and yes... even the Ravens i am very confident aren't going anywhere this year. I also think the Texans are bad with a tough schedule. So i don't give them much of a chance nor do the Burrow-less Bengals have one.

I still have (for now). Bills, Pats, Indy, Jags, Pitt, Den, LAC and KC in it. I think they will all be in or more or less all year. Thankfully that tie breaker loss to Pitt won't matter as they will run away with the division. But interestingly if this is the case... the Pats will not get a head to head tie breaker with any of these teams (save the Bills) cause hey don't play any.

This means it comes down to conference record and the Pats are 2-2 there. It is early days yet, but the point is this... Pats may need to finish with a better record than other teams in the WC race, cause they are in a weird spot where a tie can go very badly for them.

Who would have thought that after five weeks that the Patriots, Jags, and Colts would all have better records than the Chiefs, Ravens, and Bengals?

Injuries are the real parity for the NFL.

So getting blown out wildcard Saturday is a good thing?
Not sure we need that.
7th seed plays #2 seed.
So Denver or Buffalo in January
I've seen the Pats lose here plenty in my lifetime

I don't believe they will be blown out. I would have thought that earlier in the year, but not now.

The Pats really aren't all that good a team and still have a number of issues that needs to be addressed for them to be a real contender, but looking at the AFC and NFL as a whole... I think we entered the year over estimating how good the top tier of teams were. Last year there was more separation between top tier teams and middle to good tier teams. This year the true super bowl contenders for the most part don't seem as good. It looks like a down year all around in the NFL and the ceiling at least for this year has been lowered. So no, if the Pats play their game i don't see them being blown out.

I think they will be beat but 7 or more points all things being equal. But i don't see the team that runs away with a 3 score win if the Pats show up.

Who's says we would get blown out?
And you don't think Maye and Co. getting playoff experience is good thing for the years after?

Probably a good thing for this edition of the team. Was watching the Mac Jones Pats get smoked in Buffalo a good thing? No.
But Vrabel's team should put up more of a fight.
I'm just not prepared for another Pats playoff game here at Milehigh...
