Would you trade the Pats 2026 extra 4th round pick (from Chicago) to Seattle for RB Kenneth Walker?

With Antonio Gibson out for the year and Rhamondre Stevenson fumbling, the Pats could use another option at RB. Kenneth Walker could be available with the emergence of Zac Charbonnet in Seattle.

mayo: that's ^ who we should go after: he'll be on display Sunday.

It's a discussion question. That's all.

Obviously, it takes 2 to trade. Seattle may have no interest. Or they may. There have been a number of rumors about Seattle possibly trading Walker, so not absurd to discuss.

Personally, I would kick the tires. Would not consider more than a 4th.

Chance of it actually happening: Very low. But only zero if not considered.

I'm not trading for any RB, there's loads of guys out there on PS's that could fill in

If anything, I'd look at picking up Damien Martinez who I really liked going into the draft, but got cut by Seattle during cutdowns. Big, patient RB who lacks top end speed but can burst through a gap

We would re-sign him

He's almost 31.

The Pats need someone for this year. There is no guarantee that anyone they would trade for would be anything more than a short one year rental. Kamara is the best one year rental you are going to get at the position assuming he is available (which I think he might if the Pats beat the Saints this weekend).

Kamara is much more like TreVeyon Henderson. Better at this point, but not enough for me at age 31.

That 4th rounder could be a starting right guard in 2026. Or a depth corner. Or a speedy linebacker.

100% agree. Would not do the trade a week ago. But with Gibson out, and the Pats good enough to make the playoffs, I'd reconsider.

A high-mid 4th is goid enough to get a solid player, hence good enough to have some value to Seattle. Value for value.

We don't have the Chief's 4th, we have ours and Chicago's.

KC got Chicago's 4th for Joe Thuney, then traded it to us to move up for Nohl Williams.

Whichever is lower than, although right now I'm thinking they may end up pretty close

He's under contract for next year...for a big chunk of change.

I love Alvin Kamara, one of my favorite RBs in the league since he came in. Again, this is a piece you add if you're a super bowl contender, I'd be all for it. I'm not trying to trade draft capital for old guys when there are huge holes in the back 7.

I would be more inclined to do it if he weren't a rental. If you could tell me he'd be here 3 more years, maybe, because he'd be the starter.

Thank you Rob... @TommyD4207 you're killing me, smalls.

Tommy, I think the Pats could probably extend Walker and have a Henderdon-Walker backfield for a while. That would be exciting for me. Not a certainty, though.

One year maybe two rental: he's a dual threat RB who protects the Football. And keeps it out of Rham's hands.
He's under contract for next year, so you're committed for 2026.

If I thought they were 1 playmaker on offense away from a Super Bowl, I'd do it. I do love me some Kamara.

When the Dynasty started I didn't think that Team could win a SB. But it did and started something for a while.

If I knew they would sign Walker going forward, I'd consider it for a 4th round pick then, since they're probably drafting another RB next year. A Henderson/Walker tandem would give you a 22 year old and a 24 year old for the next 3 years. You just got younger and better at the position overall.

The fact he's an expiring contract really kinda turns me off of the idea.

That's the only reason he could possibly be available at that price. You have to take some risk.

And you know the kinds of guys they signed and traded for? Brian Cox. Ted Washington. Antowain Smith.

Not Alvin Kamara and Chris Olave with big contracts and injury histories.
