Would you trade the Pats 2026 extra 4th round pick (from Chicago) to Seattle for RB Kenneth Walker?

With Antonio Gibson out for the year and Rhamondre Stevenson fumbling, the Pats could use another option at RB. Kenneth Walker could be available with the emergence of Zac Charbonnet in Seattle.

Why would they take a 4th? I get Charbonnet has been playing well but can’t see them taking anything less than a 2nd for him.

If this is a straight yes or no, than sure. A 4th for highly talented often injured RB is worth a 4th.

Have you seen that Guy below in Carolina?? Just got 200yds last week against Miami: he shouldn't cost us more than 6th.

Because he is in the final year of his rookie deal and will be gone after this year. Seahawks will never get a 2nd for a guy in a contract year.

Even though he will be a free agent next spring, yes, given the current situation at RB.

K Walker have dual threat written all over him I like.

I would give them a Third for Walker.

Lol What? Why would a 3-2 team fighting for the division trade a productive, young, and cheap running back?
Draft capital: you know Teams do it all the time.

Because he doesn't appear to fit in their plans, and they will lose him in 12 more games.

Walker is the big play threat and pretty much splits carries with Charbonet who is the power back. I don't know what makes you think he isn't in their plans. If he helps them make a playoff run this year I would think that is more valuable than a 4th round pick.

Yes usually when the team is not in playoff contention or a cheaper player is outperforming the guy being traded. I don't know why half this board thinks the other 31 teams are supposed to be our farm system.

Here's what AI has to say:

AI Overview

There has been no real-world trade of Seattle Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III, but there have been significant trade rumors and analyses suggesting he could be traded due to his contract situation and the emergence of Zach Charbonnet, according to heavy sports news. Several proposed hypothetical trades exist, with teams like the Chicago Bears, Washington Commanders, and Denver Broncos mentioned as potential destinations.

Why Trade Rumors Are Circulating

Contract Status: Walker is entering the final year of his rookie contract, making him a potential trade asset to avoid losing him in free agency next offseason.

Zach Charbonnet's Rise: The Seahawks have a strong backup in Zach Charbonnet, who has shown efficiency and could be ready to take over as the lead back.

Declining Production: After a stellar rookie year, Walker's production has declined, with injuries and a lower yards-per-carry average in recent seasons.

Potential Trade Scenarios

Chicago Bears: One speculative proposal suggests the Seahawks could trade Walker to the Bears for draft picks to address needs elsewhere on the roster.

Washington Commanders: Another proposal involves trading Walker to the Commanders, who are seeking running back help after a devastating injury to Austin Ekeler.

Denver Broncos: The Broncos are another potential suitor, as some analysts believe Walker could be a valuable piece for their offense with a Day 3 draft pick.

Arguments for Keeping Walker

Upside: At 24 years old, Walker still offers significant upside and has a 1,000-yard season in his past, making him a valuable asset.

Team Depth: Despite Charbonnet's emergence, Walker's presence adds depth to the running back position for the Seahawks.

Value at Low Point: His trade value may be at its lowest point, making it more sensible for the Seahawks to keep him and see if he can regain his rookie form.

The point of the above is that trading Walker has been discussed. It may not happen, but with RB a need I thought it was worth kicking the tires.

I don't want a rental. Whatever move we make should help 2026 too. Obviously we can resign our rental but I would focus on guys signed through next year at least.

Hypothetically, let's assume the Pats leadership believes they are ready for a playoff schedule. Making BOTH of these hypothetical trades would give us:

RB: Henderson, Walker, Stephenson; Gibson and Lan Larrison coming off IR next year

EDGE: Thibodeaux, Landry, Chaisson, Ponder

I generally agree with you. But I think the Pats have plenty of room to resign Walker if they like him, and RBs do not break the bank.

I would think this is a trade and extend scenario. If we get walker hes most likely replacing rham than Gibson. That allows us to cut rham in 26 and move forth with walker/henderson and Gibson if he can recover, otherwise larison is still a solid rb3.
