I’m playing man on the outside. Let Gonzo and Davis shut down their WRs. The drawback of playing man is that the defenders backs are turned which will lead to big runs by J. Allen. To counter that I’m bringing up a safety or LB as a spy. The d-line and LBs got to step up and contain Cook.

On O I’m running the ball, keep Allen off the field. Get Maye on the move, keep the Bills guessing.

This is my thought as well. I'm nervous about Kincaid against our LBs and wouldn't mind putting Davis on Kincaid in obvious pass situations. Gonzo on Shakir, Marcus on Coleman.

Pick your poison. Gonna be tough to defend this team.

Huh?
So you want our small slot CB to play on their biggest outside WR, and our best outside CB to play on their small slot WR???

It would be fun to see Diggs go off in this game.

Maybe use Mapu as a spy on Allen.

Felger and Mazz just mentioned it but I'd love to see Marcus Jones as part of the offensive gameplan at Buffalo. Even if its just as a decoy on a fake reverse or whatever.

Gotta spy Allen,
Play a mix of zone and man disguise coverages right before the snap I would blitz early and often to make him get rid of the ball quick.

If he has time his arm is too good he will throw guys open.
Don’t allow him to run, I’m spying him with Mapu, and or Dugger.

I may have 3 players designed to stop Allen from running, middle and sides being guarded, play a zone blitzing scheme make Allen find the open man in I can live with 10-15 yd completions by the Bills if I prevent Allen from controlling the game with his legs.

His back and tight ends are no slouches, they have a great Punter who will never kick to Jones.

Will be a dog fight.

I don’t want that.
He’s our best punt returner and starting slot CB. No way I want him playing offense too, he’s too important to the other 2 units.

Forget about the wins.

Allens Stats are off the charts.

Considering that the entire discussion was about how Allen played incredibly well, but the Bills lost due to other players and coaching performing poorly… Yes bringing up the record as a knock against Allen makes absolutely zero sense.

Everyone else understands this except for you

Play smart, run all over them, keep JA on the bench, get a pick if it's there - you have a shot

Josh Allen is Great, but are the Bills Great? TBD

I'll be happy with a completive game. You can't seriously expect a win. The Patriots are still building and developing. The close games with the Dolphins and Saints gives us hope though. The Bills offensive line is ELITE so this will be a tough tough test.
Good observation. Since we all agree that this will be some sort of "measuring stick" game. It WILL be interesting to see if our bunch will be the first to hold them under 30. I know it is what I'm looking forward to most.

After witnessing perhaps the 2 worst opening drives by the offense and defense respectively in MY memory the last 2 weeks, almost ANYTHING would be an improvement.

I mean, I was just looking for a single play where they held the Panthers for something under 8 yds. I don't think they even had a 3rd down on that first drive, and then on offense all we had to show for it were 2 three and outs, and UGLY 3 and outs at that. There was nothing in those first 2 series that would lead you to believe there was going to be a 42-0 stretch coming up for the Pats.

Has to be something to do with those scripted first drives…. Same thing in week 1 too with the Raiders.

And yesterday the Panthers were attacking us with TEs the first two drives and it looked like we just lost track of their TEs specifically.

The discussion is all about "failed expectations." Remember? Like going to a Super Bowl.

Also, how the Chiefs have owned Allen. He is 0 - 4 against Mahomes in the post season. Burrow stepped up in the AFCC and beat the Chiefs scoring more points than Mahomes. Brady beat Mahomes in the AFCC and in the Super Bowl.

You brought up stats and a litany of people to blame. I suppose with all that choking you've got your excuses down to a science.

5’8 marcus on 6’4 Coleman?
Recipe for disaster

I brought up the same use of MJ.
