DJ Moore anyone?

Chase is doing well on his team. Those 3 guys are people who are doing poorly on their current teams because of the situation
Zay Flowers was 7 for 143 opening weekend, 7 for 75 week two. Harrison had 885 yards on 62 catches last year, playing with a QB who's notorious for not doing film work. To your point, not the ideal spot and fit for him. Waddle's situation sucks for sure, but I don't see any of these guys being dealt, regardless if LTD wants to dream up silly trades.

@Real fan 02 Let us know if you ultimately agree with yourself as to how you truly feel about Douglas. It seems at the moment you might be torn on the subject.

IF we start winning some games we would look appealing.
Not talking about appeal. Talking about the price in picks or players to get him here. The “I’ll give the Duggar (or Pop or White or all three) and a 6th are daydreaming and nothing more.

Pats have a ton of needs in the draft next year. I don’t know if a day 1 or 2 pick for a WR is in the budget

Can you stop.

I did watch the video. If he was past the first down marker, he would have gotten the ball before either defender got to him. We are talking two feet, not twenty yards. The ball would have gotten to Douglas just as fast if he was past the first down marker.
Your very own pic proves my comments are correct.

Douglas failed to reach the marker because the Steelers moved quickly to stop him. If Douglas ran the route deeper past the marker the ball is picked.

The play was doomed from the start. Why run that play with the smallest WR on the roster. Douglas is not known for busting tackles and fighting for yards. Use Henry who is tall or Boutte known to be physical instead.

If Maye had other options and chose that play to work then it's on him as another bad decision.

He's the same skinny fragile player. It's a matter of time.
In the meantime, and when available, he will be productive as one of the Chief's 5-man WR squad. He wasn't good enough to serve that role with the patriots.

Availability > Skill

Huh?!? So Douglas caught the ball on a shorter route, but if he went deeper it would have been intercepted? You might want to brush up on your physics. If Douglas was deeper, the odds of a defender several yards down the field actually goes down not up. Douglas had to reach up for the ball. If he was deeper he would have caught it somewhere closer to his body.
All he had to do was fall forward. First down.

It was important that we got rid of him so we could keep Douglas, Polk, baker, Takitaki, pharms, Johnson, Jordan, Robinson, Robinson, Jacobs, Jacobs, and a slew of other slugs on the roster.

LOL! No it didn't. When he stopped, there wasn't a defender within five yards of him. The safety had to come from mid field to make the play and I am not sure Douglas even saw him. The guy who should have been covering the outside down marker was five yards down the field.

He'll be back on the PS when worthy and Rice return...
Or injured before that. I don't wish him I'll will. He seems like a nice guy. I'm just going by his NFL history. He's missed almost as many games then he's played. And when he does play? He has a career 51% catch rate....bad. This season it's 50. For comparison....Boutte and Thornton have the same number of receptions this season. Boutte has a 75% catch rate which is excellent.

Absolutely agree... TT has all the speed you would want but was never available.. 51% catch rate is sorry for a wr in today's NFL. Boutte I've said this plentiful is really our #1 wr. By default. Mahomes now gets to experience what Brady did for a large majority of his career at the wr spots.

Yes he is and it will be more obvious as the season goes on. Diggs won't have similar numbers for One) he's spending some time in the slot because of Douglas and Two) he's not 100% healthy yet. My guess he's somewhere between 80-90% and Third) He's going to be 33 yo in 2 months. Old for a WR.

Agreed. Diggs is here as a need and to help mentor the young WRs.. from everything I've seen on him he's been instrumental in helping a guy like Boutte and it's showing.. my Hunch is Chism is chomping at the bit to play.. I think he gets his shot this week and will impress.

I think for the immediate future they like Hollins and Diggs helping out in the slot. I think Chism will finally get playing time when the matchup dictates it. Do Diggs and Boutte have experience playing against the Panthers outide guys? Have they had success? 5'11 176 Lbs Chau Smith-Wade looks like he's the nickle CB...not a lot of experience. Can Pop take advantage of the lack of experience? I doubt it. He's probably quick at that weight though. He has 3 inches over Pop. I'd rather see Hollins take advantage of the height difference at 6'4" even though he's relatively slow. Hollins is also a better run blocker if that will be a big part of the gameplan. Their are tradeoffs depending on what Josh plans to do.

I hate to say it but Boutte still kind of sucks too. He might be the best we have, I still think that will probably end up being Diggs as the year goes on but I don't think either are going to be a true WR1.

From their everything goes on a curve because Williams and Chiz haven't shown the coaches they are better yet. Douglas is heading the wrong direction and Hollins is what he is (average at best).

I think about the only thing we can do other than a trade is settle on our best 3 or 4 and stop rotating the others so much.

For me that's in order Diggs, Boutte, Williams, and Chiz and the last 2 are just kind of default I'd rather play the rooks at this point.

Flowers isn't being traded. Same reason why AJ Brown won't be traded. The latter might get traded next offseason if the Eagles find his replacement.

I doubt Waddle is on the trade block and Hill will be the one that the Dolphins trade (and no way is Hill coming to New England).

Not sold on Harrison Jr. All potential over production and his hands look like crap.

Lmao. But but but, he's a generational player!!! Some here, I won't mention their name(s) because I'm feeling unusually kind today, actually wanted the Patriots to pass on Drake Maye, take Harrison Jr. and " build a contender around him!" These fans should never be allowed to criticize any GM ever again after that monumental **** up of a take.
Thankfully Wolf took Maye and the Patriots have their player to build around.
