DJ Moore anyone?

Isn't that pretty much Diggs' role now?

You could interchange them. One at the Z and the other in the slot. And switch. Right now, they gotta go 12 man because they don't have three WRs who can play on the field at the same time. Their best formation is two TEs and two receivers.

They need WR help desperately.

Douglas could not get to the 1st down line or beyond it because the Pitt DBs were there waiting and had it covered. Douglas went to an area where Maye could get him the ball without fear of an INT.

The play was reminiscent of Faulk coming up short in Indy.

Douglas getting blamed for losing the game is a joke.

This is wrong. Watch the video. He had one foot over the first down marker. He literally had to move a foot or two down the field to have caught the ball to convert the downs. And the defender gave him enough of a cushion to do it. In fact, the first defender to get to him was covering the center of the field about ten yards away from him.

Absolutely…or Olave from New Orleans (I’m just a little skeptical of his concussion history)

He had some concussion issues but we're desperate. Beggars can't be choosers.

Gotta think long term IF Diggs numbers are Pedestrian by years end: He ain't seeing 26Mill in 2026. We are going to the WR well again in the upcoming Draft.

MHJ seems soft weird for a guy his size. But he’s the only one of those guys I’d trade a #1 pick for.

Dude

Watch the video that you provided. If Douglas went deeper into his route the ball is picked.

The Pat's coughed up 14 points.

Maye INT and Rahm goal line fumble. Blaming Douglas because he was involved with the final play is ridiculous.

Huh?!? So Douglas caught the ball on a shorter route, but if he went deeper it would have been intercepted? You might want to brush up on your physics. If Douglas was deeper, the odds of a defender several yards down the field actually goes down not up. Douglas had to reach up for the ball. If he was deeper he would have caught it somewhere closer to his body.

Some would want you to believe Maye was absolutely flawless yesterday. Probably punched his ticket to Canton MA: he had an uneven game. Not entirely his fault better WR's would help.

Watch the video.

The Steeler running lateraly along the width of the field was closing in. Thelonious was just commenting on how fast these NFL players are and its true.

I'm more than a little skeptical. Great talent except for that, young, productive.

I haven’t seen anyone on this board say anything like that.

Over the first three weeks, DJ Moore has pretty much been phased out of the Bears' offense. Luther Burden seems to have taken his role and Rome Odunze is the clear #1 WR in the Bears' offense. I cannot see the Bears keeping Moore if this continues since his base salary is like $20-23 million a year including this year. He could be dangled for trade in the next few weeks or month or so.

I think he doesn't fit in with the Bears because Caleb Williams is not disciplined QB who gets rid of the ball quickly. Moore's strength is he is quick and not fast and can get open quickly but isn't a burner.

He seems better suited for the McDaniels system where he could be used much the way Edleman was used. Part-time slot/Part-time Z who can get open quickly and is good after the catch. Not sure he is anywhere near Edelman level, but he would immediately be the best receiver on the Patriots if they traded for him.

Since he has fallen down the Bears' ranks and his salary is significant (although not near the top of the market), the Bears probably won't get top dollar for him in a trade. Might even be gotten for a third rounder depending on interest from other teams.

My only concern was he wasn't great route runner in college. Not sure how he has been in the pros since he has always been on crap teams that I had no interest in watching. If he improved in that area, he might be a good fit for the Patriots.

And he is only 28.
Rob,

Thanks for bringing this up. I mentioned DJ Moore as a player we should have been in on over the offseason. He was reported unhappy in Chicago last season and he did put up big production with fields at QB. He absolutely should be a guy we are in on. Seemingly Josh doesn't want to use the feild strecher we already have in Williams so why not take a shot at DJ. How about sending pop and a 6th for DJ??..

Cultist says what? You take a selfie with one of them big ol' Welker helmets (something like the Great Gazoo from the Flintstones) and I'll buy in.

Hahaha... good one. I believe you're right on that with Olave. You hit the nail on the head with the great gazoo!!!
