All the radio guys are in favor of benching Rham this week vs CAR.
I'm not opposed. But, if most agree with that, then shouldn't you also bench Pop?
He has the 83rd worst yards per route in the NFL. He's totaled 13 Targets / 5 Catches for 13 Yards.
Completely useless. He needs to be benched, and give Chism the active spot
+ More snaps for Williams - who has 2 Targets / 2 Catches for 20 Yards

If all the radio guys want Rham benched then I take back my previous statement, they should start him and give him 30 carries. There is no group of people who are more ignorant on any topic than the “ radio guys” are.

This. Next start is start 14 for him.

He's not *wrong* his end-of-game management shows a pattern, it does, and it was my main concern about him in the offseason. I wasn't fully on-board with Team Maye, but he's shown me more than enough this season that he's a guy you can win with once the holes are filled in.
This was my biggest concern last year but he still has yet to show that it is not an issue.

Those are fair points, it’s still very early with him but until proven to run better between the tackles henderson is probably best as a 3rd down/change of pace guy. Thats why Vrabel says we need rham because hes probably the best pure runner of the 3 whenever there is a crease. This team can’t afford the fumbles though.
They need to send a message to the team by benching him for a while. I’m sure he feels like **** and knows he’s ****ing up but the team also needs to understand if you put the ball on the ground you’re on the bench, as long as your name isn’t Drake Maye that is.

Radio guys actually took it to another level saying they’d cut him tomorrow even had he ran for 100 yards. There was no need to listen any further.

You can't win football games with your quarterback playing the way he did today.

Not sure why you keep comparing Maye to the goat. That's crazy.
I think the point was that no QB plays 100% clean games all of the time. There were several games that the Pats won despite Brady, but to your point Brady won a ton of games despite the rest of the team.

We fkn WHIPPED them, and we lost because of stupidity.
Vrable needs to fix the idiocy, and QUICKLY.

There’s no easy fix to Rham’s fumbling issue, or it would have been already fixed.

1) Do not give Rham the ball near the goal line until he proves he can secure it
2) Sign Gus Edwards as UFA now

Just got off watching the Monday Night Football game. I have a question. Do you think the Ravens might trade us THEIR ****bum, 3 fumbles in 3 game RB, Derrick Henry for ours?

All those who simply want to excise Stevenson and right him off as a bum. What do you think a well run team with a lot of good history (not great) and considered one of the top teams is going to do with a similar situation. I bet THEIR fans aren't calling for his head. Concerned sure, but not in Patriot Panic mode like we are now.

Good teams do what they have to do to FIX things with their players' issues and fans are supposed to support those players as long as they are making good faith efforts to get things better. Instead we are like spoiled children who love our new toys until they get a dent and then want to throw it away and cry to daddy for the next shiny one.

I mean why can't WE find a fast long receiver like KC's Tyquan Thornton

That guy, Derrick Henry, led the conference in rushing 4 times (league 3 times) and is a 4-time All-Pro with 108 rushing TDs.
He ran for 1921 yards last year.

This whataboutism is nonsense. You give leeway to greatness. Stevenson has never been anywhere good enough to allow his fumbling to be overlooked.

Again, this is the same fanbase that was ready to run Stevan Ridkey out of town after a 1300 yd, 10 TD season, when he had *4* fumbles. Stevenson has NEVER approached those numbers, and has had 9 fumbles in his last 15 games.

You missed the point (not surprised). I'm just using the same misuse of numbers to make point. In his first 3 seasons in just over 500 rushing attempts Stevenson had just 7 fumbles including just one in his third. The 7 last season was a problem and not acceptable, but you work on issues. Edelman used to lead the the WR's in drops a lot of years. He made 'em and we lived with them because of the good we got and we knew he was trying so hard.

Baltimore OF COURSE will put up with Henry. But the fact is that while Henry might be a HOFer someday Stevenson currently has a similar role with the Pats. Just because he's a lot better doesn't make him any less impactful. Even after not playing the 3 quarters of the game, isn't he still our leading pass catcher. If not he's close.

But rather than just get rid of him, wouldn't it be prudent to work on it and make it better. He wasn't always this way. What's changed. Find it and fix it. Why aren't we calling for THAT.

I'm not asking him to be perfect. I'm asking him to resolve his turnover problem.

Is anyone going to deny he's been turning the ball over too much over the last dozen games?

They did that. It didn't get any better. How long are you content with wasting time and money on something that's actually gotten worse over time, not better?

And again in your whataboutism comparison, the new one, this time to Edelman, who led the team in drops. He led the team in drops almost every season he played. You overlooked it, because he played at a high level, much higher than what Stevenson has ever approached, and he made key plays in key situations.

Stevenson's simply not good enough of a player to overlook his game-losing mistakes, and justify his bloated salary. He's gotta go. Eat the dead cap this year so you don't have to worry about next year's cap. This isn't a new situation with him. The time for correcting mistakes was years ago.

This is why I am so thankful we have such a headstrong and confident coach in Vrabel who will steer this ship with a steady hand.

All those radio pundits as well as most posters on here are forgetting some important factors- one, this is still a young team, and it's coming off a year of very bad coaching and a total lack of accountability. These will not go away overnight.

The biggest reason the Jets have gotten nowhere in such a long time is because they keep chopping down their tree before it has a chance to grow. Just look at Darnold and Geno, et al and where they are now. If the Jets had been patient and allowed those players to grow into their position they wouldn't be where they are now.

Likewise, we need to let this team grow on its own. There's so many issues being worked out right now, Spillane getting benched for bad eyes, missed tackles, Pop getting skewered for not knifing, etc. etc, and his bigger issues fitting within McD's offense. Mayo still has the yips, still leads with his eyes (which is why he's had a pass batted down every game), still hero-balling, still hot/cold. McD is still trying to find a good offense for this team- we've seen a lot of Shanny OZ stuff lately, some of it good, some not. He started the game that way but the RB ****show forced him back into his traditional quick concepts. Still building the window dressing (motions, etc), but there's only so much you can do with a bunch of rookies who are learning yet another offense.

Love the Hoss-y-Juke shoutout to Edelman's HOF induction. Nice gesture from McD.

Exactly correct look at last night direct reason why the Ravens lost and end up with the same record as us. I will keep saying this repeatedly if, just if, we can STOP BEATING OURSELVES this team can sniff the possibility of a post season birth even in a rebuild. The commanders were allegedly in a reset/ rebuild last season too when they took Daniels.

Agreed. Gibbs who he's compared too didn't really take off his rookie season until they went on the great run down the stretch. Henderson is likely the most talented weapon we have on offense he needs to be used more as we go along.
@PatsFan2 I'm out on pop goes the weasel.. plus his post game laughing irritating me.. he was a player i was high on.. disappointed. Diggs is still working his way back.. Williams is seldom used.. Tarzan feet isn't doing anything.. Boutte and Henry are the only consistent guys.

DJ Moore would open up the offense seriously. I'm sure he wouldn't mind playing with top 10 qb Drake.

It's obvious that Pop Douglas is not a good Route runner: and he's struggling with McDaniels Offense. We have seen this before with Young Patriots WR's. There's no reason not to use Kyle Williams at this Time: he's not playing behind Hofer's. Kyle Williams have two catches on the season: we need to get him involved more. That said when Chism gets his shot and plays well: we'll see that Pop was his own enemy.

Well said brother. Vrabel said he's going to evaluate everything.. so if he wants to open up his Offense play Williams more, and Henderson more especially on passing downs.. for the first time since Brady left QB/OL isn't the problem it's the people around the QB. Chism absolutely should be given a look even a few snaps. DJ Moore would be a perfect fit on the outside here.
