The need for Gonzo is glaring..

Are any people here suggesting they need Gonzo back desperately among the people who argued with me this offseason that Alex Austin was really good.... just wondering?

Plays in 54% of games (after today's DNP)
I know.... hard to say with certainty if it's strictly a business decision with Gonzo... I tend to lean more on the teams cautious approach with him... gonzo is a humble guy. There's no one in the draft that is on his level. We knew to keep all the young talent we can get... ever player's injury is managed differently.

Pats better draft a CB1 next year.
or a CB2 or a CB3

We needed an additional CB last year.
We needed an additional CB this off-season. (in addition to re-signing or replacing Jon Jones).
We still need an additional CB.
Barring a trade, coming into the next off-season, we will still need an additional CB.
========
REPEAT 10 TIMES
This is a passing league.
CB's often get injured.

Why hasn't Vrabel called steph? Is he that loyal to Austin?
Vrabel would be the only one; Austin is either often injured or giving up easy completions. Josh Allen can't wait to face him.

Let Mike V know that King Tet is a player: who could have a Big game against this weak Secondary next week.

In yesterday's pregame Zo expressed concern with how long Gonzo is taking here. In his experience and based on conversations he's had guys normally come back much quicker.

He even speculated that maybe a pending trade may be why he wasn't IR'd.

There is a chance here that Gonzo is being overly cautious to the detriment of the team if he's doing this to not play at anything less than 100% to try to maximize his next contract. I honestly am a little concerned with his make up.

If he signs a record breaking deal, how confident are you that he'll stay healthy and work his ass off to stay on the field.

If we could get some significant draft capital in a trade, I'd consider it. The idea of spending 35-40 million on this guy makes me very nervous especially with Maye needing to get paid.

Trade Gonzo?? and then we have a Defense that can't stop anybody...no thanks we are keeping him.

Just keep him out the whole year or trade him at this point.

I would ecstatic if they traded Gonzalez. Genuinely. No use for soft, selfish players who miss half their team's games.

The zones, coverage and tackling looked better yesterday, nobody wants to hear that after a loss, but it’s true.

You can’t hand the ball back to the opponent 5 times in a game, give them substantially more possessions, and not expect them to score.

If our offense held the ball and didn’t fumble we would have blown them out.

Still not sure why we didn’t I/R him…it is now week 4. He has gotta play this week, right?

Austin have been exposed. I thought he could be good enough in a role.. but gonzo... is the man happiest.. he will get paid $$$ even if he's the message room.

We didn't IR him because we hoped that he would be ready within 4 weeks and we wanted him to be at practices. Vrabel didn't mind using a roster spot on Gonzo. After all, this week we don't even have a 53rd player on the roster.
