I never said he played well enough to play the game. You want me to claim he was awful. That isn’t true.

He played pretty well for most of the game. But he still had the turnovers. I am not ignoring them. But unlike you, I am not trying to rewrite the narrative of the game that he looked like a lost rookie in his first game.

He wasn't good enough today. That's just a fact. No one was.

I think you have me confused with someone else because you're coming at me as if I have a history of attacking Maye.

So, you're saying that if the RB's had no fumbles we would have lost the game?

I don't think Stevenson fumble on the 1 yard line is any more or less valuable than the INT Maye had on the one.

No turnovers = easy win.

I didn't dispute that.

Maye has potential. He is not there yet. Is he progressing as quickly as hoped for …no

He will NEVER be Josh Allen
Best case is poor man’s Justin Herbert.

I knew he could not lead the drive at the end to tie up the game. He has been consistently unable to engineer succesful High Pressure, Drives At The end of games
You are an idiot.
Exactly. You can see the absolute elite traits he has. 13 games, not even one full NFL season and the second coaching staff. And he has corrected a lot of stuff from last year.
Maye is easily the best player on this team and was the best player on the field today.

I'm not down on Pop like others are. The balls coming his way aren't always accurate. Yes that final play sucked but it was a questionable playcall as well.

I'm so so so done with Rham. He hurts more than he helps. Pass catching backs are plenty in every draft. Draft multiple backs if we have to and just kick Rham to the curb. All and I mean all of the running backs we played in the preseason looked good enough to replace him. One game against a struggling Dolphins isn't going to change my mind.

Austin had a tough day but I still see potential. I refuse to hate on him for grabbing a 7ft guy on a fade or the other ticky tac call he had earlier. Just get Gonzo back so Austin can shine against lesser wrs.

Such a frustrating game.

Did you miss Bouttes TD catch last week? And the throw to him that drew DPI today?
We Need to send Kyle Williams Deep: he's our Fastest WR. It's useless to run all those plays on Offense if you're just going to turn it over. We need more Chunk plays on Offense. Maye had Two bad TO Today hope he learns from it.

How did they play when it mattered most?

Why is Stevenson fumble on the one yard line any different than Mayes int on the 1?

Maye was taking sacks on the second to last drive and last drive too.

Maye played well in some parts of the game and awful in others.

It wasn't good enough.

They actually had 6 turnovers because they turned it down on downs.

Are you even reading my posts are you just determined to convince me that Maye sucks? I said that if they had any one less turnover including Maye’s two turnovers that the Pats win the game. But I was pointing out how Maye could have played exactly the same and won.

And why are blame all the sacks on Maye? You do realize sacks are usually on poor blocking and not the QB.

And turnover on downs was Douglas. Douglas was right at marker and decided to run backwards than trying to dive forward.

Maye was showing great accuracy and decisions most of the game (besides the first drive - lucky drops by PIT D)
The EZ INT was 1/2 sec late (and should have been lobbed to the corner - would have been an easy Boutte TD)
But that was right after getting his bell rung - I really think he was probably a bit woozy those next few plays.

He was playing really well for most of the game. Just a few spastic moments make the difference.
But, he's improving, and can certainly grow with each experience.

Well. I think it has more to do with the GM.

You don't have a vertical threat because you don't have anyone on the team who can do that. And they haven't for years.
WR Kyle Williams.

Omg with this from you. Stop it.

Stevenson alone is 80% responsible for this loss.

That said, turning the ball over FIVE TIMES as a team is just pathetic. And you might as well count Douglas’ terrible effort on the final play as a turnover too.

Not what I expected from a Vrabel coached team.
I'm not absolving Stevenson, but amid a day where he completed almost 76% of his passes, Maye also turned it over twice. It was sloppy all around.

He had a really good first half. Ran clearouts in the 2nd half. I dunno.
Ok..I figured we’d be utilizing him a bit more than we have; especially with his savvy route running. I guess he either isn’t 100% or he isn’t the same player as he previously was (which is understandable given his age & recent injury).

And who said he was good enough? He was good enough to win if the Oats had one less turnover, but that doesn’t mean he played good enough because the Steelers aren’t a good team. All I said I saw a lot positive in his play that if he cleans up some of his mistakes (the fumble was a really bad mistake where he should have protected the ball and taken the sack).

Trying to post the picture I took of my TV ....but Douglas has the ball in his hands and only needs less than half a yard fall forward and he has the first down. Douglas seems like a good person but he needs to be cut or benched for a considerable # of games. I can't post the picture for some reason

Every time he's out there he looks like he's running fine to me, same old Steph Diggs. Maybe Josh needs to stop using him as a 25 million dollar decoy to get Pop Douglas open to drop passes. I dunno, again.

Give the Team their $$$$$ back: You won't be Active going Forward disgusting.

Agree. I was saying it all game too. We need to run Williams on at least 2 deep shots per game. JMD knows how/when to take a shot on a 2nd & 3, or after a few of those 4+yd runs. At some point you are going to hit.
