Maybe tomorrow, after a night's sleep, I'll think like this. Right now I'm chewing railroad spikes.
It just makes me think of so many games I’ve seen before where a really good team turns the ball over a bunch of times for whatever reason and somehow still stays in the game and wins it or comes a hair shy. I always thought in those situations “wow, that team really showed how good they are to manage that despite the mistakes.” Today the Patriots were that team, which tells me they’re in for some good things if they can clean things up.

It was in his hands. he dropped it, dove when he didn't have to. He just had to stop. First half was on the 2nd drive when they punted.
First half was not a drop. It was the Chuck Knoblach short hop throw (3rd drive 2ndQ 11:56). If DD actually caught it, it would've been a 5yd loss.
The last drive drop was in his hands but it was waaayyyy behind him. Put that fully on Maye since DD was wide the F open. Would've still been 3rd and 7 regardless.

On pace for 5.6 wins with 3 garbage opponents in the rear-view mirror
Oh, on a pace. Yeah that’s how it works.

Ya. He turned the ball over 3 times.

He turned it over twice today and had a clean INT dropped.

i guess we should give Maye some credit today. He ran him self into another concussion and stayed in the game.

That's progress.

Look at you dig your self this giant take hole over the difference of one turnover. It's cute.

Ran himself into another concussion?!? He was hit as he was throwing. Did you watch the same game as the rest of us?

Actually there are people blaming Maye for the loss. Hell, they are basically calling him a bust.

You literally are saying he is worse now than he was this time last year.

I literally said he played worse in game 13 than he did in game 1.

Not that he's worse.

You're seeing what you wanna see.

The ball's on the 2 yard line. Can you pinch it in or at least don't turn it over

Spillane had a good game:

15 tackles, 10 solo
1 PD
1 TKFL
1 INT, 37 yard return

P.S. it is Vrabel. He played here, some of you have his jersey. Vrabel's name is on the TV like 40 times a game day.

The Oline was an issue as well. 5 sacks. 5 sacks+5 Turnover= lose EVERY time. Pats outplayed the Steelers yardage wise, held them to 203 total yards. Despite holding them to 203 total yards, there’s not ONE Pat’s fan who thought the Pats would stop them on that last drive.

A lot of very tacky flags called on us.
Austin struggled, but it seems like Gonzo could be back next week.
Glad White & Mapu showed up more.
Big improvement from Spillane, which is important to see.
Good to see Hollins make some big plays.

The pee-wees over in Haverhill have better ball security

Too many mistakes...
Pity...this was a game that could have been a win

But when you make errors like this you earn to loose
why?

Sit Stevenson and Douglas and this team is easily much better. The Defense plays well enough to win. The OL is better than my wildest dreams for this point in the season. We are fine at WR, TE and RB if we sit Stevenson and Douglas.

Of course not. You had to run them back out there again after yet another turnover. No defense is going to hold up like that forever.

Yea it was a pretty bad performance from everyone.

You claim he was hit as he was throwing. The rest of us saw him get scared from the broken protection, move backwards and heave the ball out of bounds while being slammed into the ground by two unimpeded defenders.

All because in 13 games he still hasn't figured out how to avoid it.

That's on him just as much as it's on everyone else.

Wasn't way behind him. He had 2 hands firmly on the ball.
