If they do trade white they will wait until his value is at his lowest and sell for pennies on the dollar. The roster has not been managed well in terms of improving assets.

Polk was already out for the year, why trade a 2nd rounder for a pick swap rather than see how he looks next year.

Why keep a number of players past cut down because you believed you could trade them then cut them later with no return?

This FO has not earned my trust so I hope they keep White because I know they won’t get value for him if they deal him.

They have earned my trust with an offseason most in and around football thoughtvwas outstanding. And what they are doing is getting rid of guys they see as not buying in or becoming problems. I agree with this approach, regardless of return on prior investment. Polk wasn’t going to suddenly become more valuable by having a good training camp in 26’, so they cut him loose. I trust this front office to build this team the right way, and getting rid of guys who don’t want to be here is part of that process. I also believe that Polk or his agent were the leak on his condition that infuriated Vrabel, and he’s setting an example with him.

Yeah I think he is probably gone. It's a shame. He appears to have the physical tools to be a productive player.

I didn't think it would get this far my opinion of White was obviously higher than it should have been but I still want to believe that he's better than he's looked this summer and that we can get him back on track. However if we could get a mlb with similar upside in a swap in a few weeks I think we'd have to consider it.

Chaisson is a decent piece but I'm not sure he's the full time answer either and you could make the case that a guy like White is more important than a mlb. So on that note I'm not sure I'd want to flip him for a mlb but it's probably been our weakest unit so far this year.

Hopefully White gets on track if not I'm open to it and you can look back to previous pages where I said hell no.

I feel like White is a player without a position. He's a tweener that doesn't fit on the team...so far. I think he has pro-bowl potential but maybe not with the Pats. While were at it...I'm starting to lean in the same direction with Douglas. Pop needs to be good at beating both man and zone...but he's not. Hollins in the slot fixes several issues that Pop has such as height / catch radius. Chism is probably better in zone coverage's....and possibly man.

I'd be totally fine moving him. Has tools but they haven't translated to being a good player yet because he lacks discipline. Stupid roughness penalties and refuses to set the EDGE. Many blamed Mayo but even as an inept coach there's no way he was telling players to commit stupid penalties and let the QB out of the pocket every play. At some point, if a guy looks totally inept he needs to be blamed himself. And fans eat up a lot of his quotes because he sounds like a tough gritty football player, but actually read what he says and it's all dripping in a lack of accountability.

Maybe the guy turns it around, but right now he seems like the definition of a losing football player. People here get mad at a lot of player quotes yet somehow he escapes peoples' wrath when he's far and away the biggest losing player/bad attitude quote machine on the team.

This sounds right to me. Someone who understands defense better than me could hopefully talk about what kind of defense he makes more sense in, but he seems like just a body in ours.
