The chase for the 2026 first overall pick

Well, the top WR’s aren’t predicted to go top 10, so if we wind up 15-20, we could still grab an explosive WR. I really want Nyck Harbor from South Carolina, just an incredible WR prospect, 6’5” 220 and runs a 4.3 (some say 4.2 !, is a track star too). He turned down going to the Olympic tryouts because he wants to put all his focus on football. I think he would be such an interesting red zone weapon. Tight End height, great speed.

For me it's less about the prospects. I don't know **** about them. It's about accumulating draft capital. Would of been nice to get that haul the jags gave up for Hunter.

I keep the thoughts to this thread though. Because while it's nice to get that win, they did play like dog **** and probably lose to any other team playing like that. Miami was horrendous today.

Miami looks like the team to beat after Week 1 - literally or figuratively as the case may be.

Unless everyone thinks that Miami's players will rally around McDaniel and steal one from a Buffalo team snoozing at home, I'm thinking the Dolphins will be playing with an interim coach the rest of the way.

If by some chance McDaniel survives a loss on the road in Buffalo, failing to beat the Jets at home would be the end of the mediocre McDaniel era for the Fins. While it is possible that O and D coordinators Frank Smith or Anthony Weaver step into the void and spark a magical run, they'd look to be the front runners in the Deathmarch for Arch race.

Actually there's probably about 3 or 4 QBs that go in the 1st round so no need to be the worst even to attract a new coach who wants to pick a fresh QB, even if it's not the #1 pick in 2026.

I think Vegas has Buffalo by more than ten. I don't think they are good enough to beat the Bills but I'd probably take those points if I were a betting man. And weird things happen in a division games.

If they do show zero fight and lose in a blowout then the free fall will be full velocity.

We got Drake Maye and Will Campbell with our brief moments in the top 10. Pretty good haul. Now it's back to the bargain basement of the first round. Fun while it lasted. May we never have to experience that fun again for a while.

Jets-Browns 1-2 in the updated Tankathon standings is not a surprise.
If you told me two months ago that Baltimore would be #3 at this juncture, I would have laughed at you.
Mea Culpa at my overreaction to losing to the Raiders.
Hopefully that game doesn't come back to bite the Patriots in the ass later in the season.
