Vrabel tells it like it is about the Pats drafting

I just won't win it. It's a pain in the balls. My own fault, I thought it wasn't due until 9/18. I looked at it yesterday and went "awe fekk".
Best of luck to you.
I too have bid on many contracts, it's always a fine line between winning and actually making money, especially in today's economy.

So reading these forums helps you relax?

You have the 'right' guys blocked this place might be a relaxing diversion
Steve could have an ignore list longer than War & Peace for all we know, just sayin'

According to the telltale stat bar to the left, I have 2 users on ignore, 73 threads and 17 users on mute/block.

Today. I have a big contract I'm bidding on and it's all over my desk, so I am stressed out a bit.

What's that like? I'm more of a carrier myself, never really experienced it 1st hand

Hard cost x 1.50 = 33% profit margin.

There's always exceptions to that formula.

If you are going to say the close wins should count as wins, then I guess the close loses (Seattle, Colts, Tenn) shouldn't count as loses?

You can't do that. We won 4 games, period. If you want to say "it should have been 2 or 3", others can easily use your logic and say it should have been 6, 7 or 8.

I will not be happy with 6 wins, nor should anyone be.
True except for the other team losing on purpose. That 4th win was the biggest loss of them all.

Yep, it's called the car business. Guys are whores.
With the price of cars these days there must be tons of profit in there.

You wouldn't believe how incorrect that is. I don't want to get into it, because after 38 years of doing it, I have learned that when you tell people what the real margins are, they tell me I'm lying.

I'm sorry I let work leak into PF. Let's move on.

He’s being honest. And while I agree with the “let’s no get ahead of ourselves message,” it’s a bit of a downer before the opener
The way I see it, this team can still win a good amount of games. Thanks to the schedule, 10 wins isn’t out of the picture. You can be middling and win 10 games in this league.

But there’s a reason we aren’t true contenders yet, and that it. The depth of talent is not there yet.

I think that you can see when a bad team finally starts becoming a good team is usually in the close games that go either way. Bad teams always lose those ones somehow. Average teams win some and lose some. And good teams find ways to win those most of the time. Until we can pull out those close games against midling opponents, we have no idea what kind of team we are.

So let's wait until '26 & '27 to do something about it. And just assume we can find something like Micah out of either of those picks.
It would be great to have Micah but if they had decided to pay him 47 million a year, soon they have to start thinking about paying Drake (if he proves he’s the guy) and Gonzalez, tough to pay three guys that type of money as Jerry realized. As of now with nothing being done aren’t we over the cap next season?

If you can win 10 games, you are a contender. They need to stay healthy.

I remember that during the pandemic people on here were discussing the best weapons to use when ravening mobs were roaming the streets. Someone trying to make a few dollars by selling metal seems like a return to sanity.
