If they block well he’s going to win me my fantasy league… to hell with low expectations.

Agreed. Imahobgolin would be happy with 3000 yds, I most certainly would not!

There is a context to what I would be happy with. If we came out with a winning record and the idea that Drake is the next Josh Alllen, then I am over the moon. I know some of you want the next dynasty to begin Sunday and anything less than a Super Bowl is a disappointment. I don't view it that way. I view this as year 1 of a long rebuild. We got some key players for one of the worst rosters in the NFL. The roster is still poor and needs 3 seasons to build and add depth. I am not looking for playoffs this year. I am looking for Vrabel to show us this team is being built the right way to win. If I see that, I am elated. If we make playoffs, it just icing but I don't expect it.

Never said we will be a powerhouse dynasty. My argument for why 3000 yards is unrealistic and unacceptable has been backed with empirical data based on what Maye did last year in 10 complete games, and what QBs do in general when starting a full season. Nothing more, nothing less.

3000 yards, but is sacked less and turns the ball over less would be an acceptable tradeoff. It would show some degree of maturity on his part. I'm more interested in that sort of skill development than I am in any accumulation stat.

Skill development produces better results. Not sure how 3000 yards would be acceptable when his averages last year would put him over 3700 yds had he played a full 17 games.

For a year two quarterback, it's the mental game I focus in on more. Airing it out without developing the mental traits to identify correct coverages or how to avoid sacks and turnovers isn't a recipe for winning football.

Aside from my 4 fantasy football teams that Maye is the QB of I do not care what his stats are as long as we are winning. I also do not care if we have a 1K yard WR or RB as long as we are winning I am happy.

Having said that I don't care about the stats as long as we win. I think he will throw for 3600-3800 23TDs/14 INTs

The only number ill be obsess over is interceptions. Other than that, it's all about seeing improvement on his play

He needs to become a more consistent passer, throwing with less air under the ball and leading our receivers to good YACs. He has the arm, but he still lacks in the these areas, which leads to interceptions and some drops

A number i thinks its feasible around 3600-3800 yards. While I think we will be a run first team, with Diggs, Boutte and Pop, then Williams and Chism we do have some talent waiting to blossom here

F that..This is the best young QB in the game.

-4,200 yards
-67% Completion
-28-30 Passing TDs/ 9 INTs
-450 Rushing Yards
-6 Rushing TDs
-7.9 YPA

I read that in Drew's voice. Sling it!

I’ll bite…

4k passing yards
500 rushing
30 tds passing
9 tds rushing
9 int
5 fumbles 3 lost
2 non major injuries, I’ll go with something thumb related for 1 and non throwing shoulder for the other.
Doesn’t play 1 game, the meaningless one we get for being first in the conference.
Last ones not serious. In 2 years it will be.

If he puts up those numbers, they are winning the division.

Realistic expectations for a QB??!! We are New England Patriots fans, correct? The same crowd that had Joe Milton III inducted into the Hall of Fame and were booking trips to Canton on the day he was traded to the Cowboys??!! And speaking of Canton, didn’t we also believe that Bailey Zappe would have already been looking spiffy in his Gold Jacket with his bust on display prior to Joe’s ceremony?? Yeah, I’d say we most definitely have reslistic expectations for our QB’s!!

Time for him to start showing he is “him”! The VR headset simulators works if he needs augmented stimulation.

Bailing on young QB's when they don't win right now is an easy ticket to become the Jets and pick at or near the top of the draft every April. There's a reason why it's usually the same teams up there.

The rest of the division did this when we had Brady and it showed.

Would be interesting to see where Maye would be at now if he didn't have complete incompetence coaching him last season.
