I remember the preseason of 2010, seeing a rookie Gronk drag Rams linebacker James Laurinaitis with him on one leg as he hopped to the goal line for a touchdown. Sometimes you can just see there’s something special brewing with a player. I get that same feeling watching Henderson.
Sometimes an athlete steps onto the field and you instantly know they are better than everyone else out there. Back when the Freddie Adu craze hit I was watching the U.S. Under 18’s play Argentina in what I think was the Under 18 World Championship, and Freddie Adu was getting all the publicity. After halftime Argentina subbed in a kid who had been suspended for the 1st half for violating a team rule. The second he stepped into the field you knew it was game over, he was miles ahead of anyone else on the field. It was Lionel Messi. He then went to Barcelona’s A team ( he had been with their B’s) and was immediately playing with the best players on the planet.
