He also throws high. Stop throwing high goddamnit.
I believe I saw an article that said he's "too jacked up" at the beginning of games... No excuse even if true of course, and hopefully something he & JMD can fix either way.

That seems to fit. More reps should fix that; greater familiarity will reduce the adrenalin spike. One reason I'd lke to see him play deeper into PS games.

I smoke two joints in the morning
I smoke two joints at night
I smoke two joints in the afternoon
It makes me feel all right
I smoke two joints in time of peace
And two in time of war
I smoke two joints before I smoke two joints
And then I smoke two more

Assuming they fulfill their potential, team will largely determine who is better in the end… or at least who wins more rings.

Another sign of his youth, a lot of what ails Drake Maye can be cured by time and experience.

It depends if you would rather have a QB that is what Mac Jones was supposed to be or a potential Josh Allen 2.0. Both have their pros and cons.

Too early to tell in both cases

Obviously I’m hoping Maye has the better career. But certain things about Maye are making me worried and uncomfortable. He reminds me of early Elway, makes 15 excellent plays, but the that one bonehead play shows up at the worst time. Also I was hoping to see a big 2nd year jump, but I’m not seeing it so far.

My one hope and bit of comfort, is that McDaniels always has our QBs playing at a good level. Brady of course, and Mac Jones’ best year was under McDaniels, so I’m hoping McDaniels + Maye = Success. Hell, the 2021 Pats scored 50 points twice with Mac Jones and McDaniels, and I feel Maye has a chance to be a much better QB.

Let's wait on Maye until he gets half a season with Diggs. He's never had a #1 or even a legit #2 WR in any pro game he's played. I think Diggs makes a world of difference

Is JJ even the QB1 in Minnesota at this point? Can't rate him from the trainers room.

Wow. No playing time last Saturday at all in the scrimmage? Very confusing.
He played both scrimmages against the Pats, doing extremely well in the 2nd scrimmage. They are probably being protective of him due to the injury last year.

My only significant complaint about Maye is the turnovers. He can be a very good NFL QB if he just cleans up some of the boneheaded plays like the one he had in the first preseason game.
How many of the boneheaded plays are the result of playing hero ball?

Seems like McD is trying to cure him of that, and may be why he is taking the safe play and not going downfield much.

Can someone give examples of high profile QBs that have fixed accuracy issues? I'm not talking about throwing the ball out of bounds or holding it to avoid interceptions, i.e., avoiding boneheaded plays. I'm talking about getting the ball to the best spot for the receiver to make a play without being killed.

I’m not sure where this whole, Drake Maye is inaccurate thing is coming from. He was almost at 65% in college (64.9) and his rookie season in the NFL, he was at 66.6%.

You narrowed the scope so much and since you separated bone head mistakes from better throwing we can't really turn to interception stats.

I would say I think Brady, Brees, and Manning all got more accurate as the years went on. And that almost everyone who plays long enough does. (Maybe not Drew lol).

But if I had to pick someone who seems to really fit in the picture you're trying to paint I would probably select Vick. I feel like his passing and accuracy was much better in the second part of his career. After coming back from his trouble he was a little less athletic and needed to rely more on his arm.

Definitely RLKAG
