so you sayBoutte is ahead of Hollins on the depth chart. They'll have 5 WR dressed on game days with Hollins being primarily STs.

I was going to agree 100% but then caught myself. They're not trying to scheme big plays right now, just seeing who can win in straight up matchups.
Interesting analysis pointing out a couple Maye missed opportunities.
Did you watch the video. The point is about big plays were there for the taking IF he reads the field correctly and looks off the safety. He didn't see it.This is interesting stuff…. Would you rather have a strong armed QB who is overly aggressive and you have to teach to reign in, or a strong armed QB who is overly conservative that you have to teach to let loose? You really don’t see the latter very often.
My opinion is that both the prior coaching staff and this one have preached the importance of not turning over the ball, and Drake is extremely coachable and taking it a bit too far as he’s still getting used to the system and the league. I’m hoping once he gets more comfortable in his NFL skin and with the offense, he’ll have a better sense as to those shots he can make and those he can’t.
Yeah, he’ll need some time to get adjusted to the E.P. system, after playing in AVP’s WC system last season. Second year QB, new coordinator, new offense/verbiage, new weapons, new culture. He’ll be fine..Wow. This is some good stuff. Maye still not getting it. It's going to be a while yet. Need to give him time. Hopefully he figures it out.
I did watch the video. In the first case, there were 2 options. The option Orlovsky was pushing for (Douglas) required him looking off the safety as you said. The Williams option didn’t require that and was open immediately. The second case didn’t require it looking off the safety at all, just trusting his arm.Did you watch the video. It's not about a high risk thread thr needle type of throw that he passed up.
I have hope he will grow into a better QB and see the field and plays like Skippy intends him to do.
"not as much as". Guess you missed that part.Well that’s just silly and who said they were? But if you think cap and salary do not play into the decision for bubble players come cutting-time, you are mistaken.
Maybe they want him to be more conservative.I did watch the video. In the first case, there were 2 options. It’s both — he needs to learn the finer art of QBing more, and learn to be less conservative.
It's not "what I say". It's literally how they've been practicing.so you say
Ok ok he looked really good, but I reserve the right to make another bad take to wake up the trollsFair.
Also he caught the ball despite Dobbs trying to hospitalize him. Can we be done with the 'he can't catch' ******** now?
I agree. He is a PS guy.I thought Minor showed well at DB. I hope we keep him around.
That’s no longer necessary. Current rules allow two players to go directly to IR-DTR on cutdown day. Makes it very likely Bourne will be IR-DTR to start the season.I think the WR corp is sealed today for this coaching staff. But, they will have to decide whether to cut Bourne or roster him for Wk 1, just to put him on IR-dtr. That would allow them to release someone at the bottom, in order to PS him and elevate later in the week. Someone like Hasty or Westover.
for sure, but there’s some potential to work withI agree. He is a PS guy.
I agree. Ponder too?for sure, but there’s some potential to work with
