We have Henderson, Gibson and Hasty, and there are always RB's available after the cut, or even before.

Maybe it's just me, but I cringe whenever Stevenson carries the ball inside the 10 yard line.

So that's not something I had considered. Huh.

Hasty ran ok but let's not add him to depth yet we signed him last week so there is likely still someone ahead of him.

And hell no I'm not getting rid of Rham. The RB room is all set and we don't have a lot of groups that are set. It very likely will be a strength on this team and I see no reason to weaken one of the few strengths we have.

Plus he seems like a good yin and Yang with Henderson.

I would keep him for now. Based on what we’ve seen thus far the passing game is a work in progress at best and at least early on we’re going to be relying heavily on the run game offensively. We need the 3 headed monster imo and then revisit this midseason or 2026 in the worse case scenario

Stevenson's relatively cheap this year ($7.5 mil is a drop in the bucket all things considered, and the Patriots have a free out at the end of the year), and has been showing that good burst again in limited action. I'm fine with keeping him on another year. I don't think he'll be starting after Halloween though.

You wouldn't get much for him in a trade. 6th rounder, maybe. May as well keep him.

I was thinking of that during the game.

I'd be making calls to gauge interest -- maybe for a real center?

No. They need three RBs that can carry the ball. If he starts fumbling then cut him. If Henderson or Gibson get hurt you still have him.

Hasty? Meh.

The last time Rhamondre Stevenson played in a Josh McDaniels offense, he caught 69 passes.

If you remove James White from the equation, you have to go all the way back to Tony Collins in 1986 to come up with a better season of catching passes for a Patriots running back.

Rham caught more than Kevin Faulk, Shane Vereen, Dave Meggett, Kevin Turner, etc.

Something to think about.

I'm only looking for a center better than what we have. That's pretty low.
One better than what we have now, would be a starting center, or someone that could start, a top-25 center if you will. A starting NFL Center is worth 3 Rhamondre Stevensons.

I like Hasty. Whatever happened to Terrell Jennings?

NO!

The depth at running back is already perilously thin with Larison and Lampe on Injured Reserve.
The Pats are so thin at RB, there is a realistic possibility of JaMycal Hasty surviving the initial cuts.
Stevenson is an absolute necessity for the 2025 roster.

As for any currently available free agent RBs, they are all either over the hill, not 100% healthy, or subpar talentwise.

Whether or not you want to trade Rham next offseason, that's a different question.
