But thats part of the point. He wasn’t productive last year or with the Raiders when you compare his production to his playing time.
He caught 31 passes last year playing 721 snaps. I don’t really care what percentage of them were first downs, WRs all average over 10 yards a catch, a lot of catches are for first downs. To put that production in perspective, if he played 100% if the snaps at outside receiver he would have total 47 receptions for 570 yards. That is a severe detriment to an offense. And we aren’t saying oh he was the 5th option, because he played 2/3 of the snaps. More than any other Bills receiver, TE or RB. He was essentially WR1.
These numbers, and what went into them, week after week of the dide being relied on and struggling to get open is why he on his 5th team in 5 years.
With the raiders he played 94% of the snaps and had less than 700 yards. So more of the same.
