Just wondered if they would be curious and take a look. See what we thought

Coaches (particularly HC) have staff.

Likely is that Staff reads stories & X posts and gives coach staff + RK a synopsis ( 1-2 line bulletized comments) of what being talked about. (Like a daily top 3 list).

Fairly unlikely, but possible, that they give a 1-line entry to a topic/opinion burning up this or one of other message boards.
VERY VERY unlikely that a coach has either time or inclination to come on this or any board personally.

If they do it is to laugh.

The fans are a pain in the butt to most NFL players and Coaches. Sometimes you have a Ocho Sinco who entertains the fans.

There was a rumor that Tom Curran had an account here back in the day. @Ian could probably speak to the OP's question. I have seen posts here become talking points in the media a day or two later, so I do think there's media folks that at least read here. Players and coaches? I highly doubt it. Some low level staff working for the Krafts might skim it, but in my mind, that's a reach too.

No. Anyone who thinks things said on this board have any impact on the actions or performance of the Patriots is delusional.

Likely some friends and family and other more loosely connected folk have swung by over the years. Like Josh's cousin, Ernie's nephew, Brady's uncle's former college roommate, etc.

I have it on good authority that James White gets personal notifications every time @fnordcircle posts here. Beyond that, I couldn't tell you.
Fnord 100% has a connection to Josh. Brother, distant relative, former buddy in hs, something.

Curran, Bedard, Shalise Manza-Young all had accounts here and would occasionally comment. Christopher Price not only posted on the forum, he wrote columns too. Mike Dussault, who writes and is part of the PFW show frequently commented on the forum. Mike Rodak was one of the forum's busiest commenters before he got a gig at ESPN.

No players that I am aware of.
Coaches have always been way too busy.
Staff attempting to get a pulse of the fan base for the higher-ups? Perhaps at one time, but not now: they would use social media for that.

Media are here en masse, always have been.

The original sports forum was the Boston Globe forums and I’m sure the paper had their staff create an account in this burgeoning technology.

But from the very beginning it was clear that media culled posts from this and other sites to craft their own opinions and create content. Things we talk about today become stories tomorrow or the next day.

I’m sure most media guys will deny this, but they’re clearly lying.

Yep. Curran is/was PrenticeMcray.

I have no doubt they have accounts. Seemed from time to time we would start topics and the following day there would be articles about our threads.

I have it on good authority that @XLIX and Doritos dink are the same guy and his grudge is still strong.

I remember Jakoby Meyers’ brother posted here a few times when Meyers was still on the Pats.

I think it is quite likely that someone in the organization checked here for the pulse of the most engaged fans at the end of the season, and along with the dwindling attendance, played a role in Mayo getting fired.

On the ESPN board we had "NEInsider".

Still a mystery to this day who that was and whether they were a legit "insider" or a fan with just too much free time. If legit there was talk that it could have been anyone from a low level staffer to BB himself. I think it's possible it was someone with first hand access to someone connected to the organization but there's no way BB would have approved of this.

Someone here should send a DM to Trollin Volin. Lol
