You have time to figure it out Genius..
I'll be holding my **** waiting for your announcement.
Thanks for being such a PERFECT GUESSER..fkn best.. I'm crying here...uggggh ..cough...

BIG WR – Stefon Diggs, Javon Baker,
FAST WR – Kyle Williams,
SLOT WR – Demario Douglas, Efton Chism,

Roster five for the cutdown to 53, Bourne might start on the injured list. I realize this ^ is likely to include Hollins though... expect six with Hollins added.
You forgot Boutte

Baker is Big WR 6'1 202 who is also fast.

15% more yards in 10% fewer snaps is a big difference.
Not enough to save McDaniels from losing his job.
They needed WRs. Do you honestly think 3.5 mill is automatic roster spot these days?
Yup. WRs who know the offense and can go out and play game # 1.

Today, Hollins completed his 1st week of camp. Lets see where the WR depth is in a week or 2, before you claim that 2 draft Busts in Polk and Baker have made the team.

Only 4 are needed, the remaining 1 or 2 spots should be kick returners and young players with upside.
So much upside that the Pats had to draft another WR in the 3rd round.
What’s a 32 year old inactive doing for you?
Hopefully what the 31 year old Hollins did 8 months ago. Catching TD passes in real games.

So you think it’s Jacobi Meyers fault that McDaniels got fired. Okey……

They have plenty of WRs who know the offense and can play, that’s literally the point. When did I claim anyone has made the team?

Do you understand upside and how it relates to the bottom of the roster? Of course you acquire more players for the top of the roster, and at the bottom you keep guys who have a future but aren’t quite ready. Why would you want a 32 year old taking up a roster spot to sit on the bench?

He ain’t catching TD passes if he is inactive. Do you really think a WR5 is catching TDs?

Yep….could have a big year.
Hollins is considered a very good run blocker at the WR position. Josh Jacobs led the league in rushing and attempts when Hollins was there w/ JMD.

At the end of the day of he can give them 20-30 catches at WR4/5, play solid special teams, block downfield and be a good guy in the WR room then it is a good signing.

I agree. Hollins is not a great athlete by WR standards because strength is usually overlooked. Miss a block and the screen play is blown up, so having a great blocking WR is a plus.

McDaniels is also looking for matchup advantages. At 6'4" tall, Hollins will have very favorable matchups at times. Hollins strength and height provide a uniquely versatile WR that I think Josh will use a lot. It is not a coincidence that Hollins best year was when he played for Josh.

Yep. I don't think we want him out there for 1000 plays but a few run, EZ, play-action, matchup, or read-option plays might make sense for him.

If Hollins plays only on running downs he will be on the field half the game. Add in play action, screens, etc., and Hollins will play a lot of snaps. Maye was looking at Hollins a lot during the Wash scrimmage.

~20 plays a game feels right for a guy with his skill level.

I have 6 WR's on my roster, not 7, not 8, but it really isn't difficult to make room for more. I just think that it's a bad idea. Vrabel may not be ready to give up on Polk or Baker.

MY SIX
Diggs, Douglas, Boutte, Williams, Hollins and EITHER Polk or Baker.

OFFENSE (25)
2 QB
4 RB
6 WR (including Hollins)
10 OL
2 TE
1 FB/3rd TE
==========
and yes, some folks would have one fewer RB and/or one fewer OL, freeing up 1-2 roster spots.
I’m not arguing with your choices, just that one player making it won’t affect the others. Roster decisions will have to be made.

4.5 isn’t fast, pretty average for the position
Baker plays faster than his timed speed he's an X-WR. Our Fastest WR's are Kyle Williams - J Baker and K Boutte in that order.

guaranteed $3.5m over 2 years. given his age he is more than likely 1 and done
Which means that Hollins makes the 2025 team.

Beliichick and Parcells had Hollins type players. They were on nobody's radar to stop and we win. A TD here or there or a 1st down now and then.

That's all Hollins is.

You told us that Hollins was the reason why McDaniels was fired.

He was not even on the team.

A few posts back you had Hollins as WR1 competi g with Diggs. Today he is Inactive in street clothes.
