I’m hoping by midseason Diggs and Boutte are duking it out for WR4 behind Williams, Chism, and Baker. And maybe even Henderson.

Remember, Diggs looks great for a player coming off an ACL repair, but he’s still coming off an ACL repair.
Lol

What’s the prediction for your division this year?

Baker seems to have ELITE PERFORMANCE, BUT DUMB ****.
IT doesn't matter how good you are if you're dumb.

You can't teach a smart guy speed and athleticism, but you can maybe teach a dumb guy how to act like a pro and lineup correctly

Only if he earns it. these next 3 weeks are huge for our young 3 (Polk/Baker/Chism). They have an opportunity, I hope one or 2 of them cease it.
It seems that there will be continued competition among these three to get the POSSIBLE #6 WR position. I presume that Bourne will be traded or even cut.

And, yes, it is POSSIBLE for one of them will displace one of the current top five. This is a tall order, and it is not clear that they will be given enough reps with the top Offense for that to happen.
DIGGS
DOUGLAS
BOUTTE
WILLIAMS
HOLLINS

I agree with 4 for sure, Hollins is the only I could see as a surprise cut, and to me it would be a surprise. So if Hollins does stick, we have a least 1 spot ( can't see us keeping any less than 6), and maybe 2 if we keep 7. Keeping 7 might not be common, but I have read a few Boston media folks thinking we could keep 7.

I hope Barefoot Mack Hollins is the odd Man out: if Polk and Baker continue to flash. I don't care about his little guaranteed money or his ST' value: we CB's and Safeties who can play there. I going with the youth movement: Polk and Baker are still on Rookie Contracts.

Bourne is the odd man out.
Going into TC I figured I'd probably want either Bourne or Hollins (I leaned toward Bourne) for a vet presence but after a week or so Boutte and Williams look pretty good and it's changing my thinking.

I like the top 4 enough that I think I'd rather avoid the risk of losing one of the younguns.

I think I'd go Pop, Diggs, Boutte, Williams, and whoever the best of Polk, Baker, and Chism is.

Then I'd hope the numbers (I doubt we'd lose all 4) allow us to sneak 2 of 4 to practice squad between Bourne, Hollins, and the 2 that lose the Polk, Baker, and Chism battle.

Bourne is the odd man out.
I think that is as close to a given as we can get. But could Hollins be a surprise cut for one of the younger guys if they show steady growth these next few weeks. It would be a surprise, but it's definitely a possibility.

you on crack bro?

I have mentally written Bourne off a long time ago.

I also am inclined now to think Chism may get to the practice squad if Polk and Baker continue their improvement.

For roster purposes, I think of Hollins the 25th player on Offense, usually a RB/Ster or a WR/Ster.

Personally, I think that it is likely that Josh considers as Hollins one of the 3 starting WR's at this point. Vrabel brought in Diggs and Hollins to go along with slot man Douglas and brought in Williams to develop into a future star. Vrabel knew that he had Bourne in case one of the top players didn't work out. I think that he has gotten what he wants out of all FIVE of these players.

Since the FOUR have so far been as planned, Bourne can be traded at the end of the preseason.

With (hopefully) FOUR locks, I think that the staff added Chism and expected to look to keep 1-2 of the unproven kids: Boutte, Polk, Baker and Chism.
====================================
WE ARE 100% RIGHT ON PLAN, with Boutte very likely to secure one the roster spots and Polk, Baker and Chism another.

JUST A THOUGHT
If the top 4 are Diggs, Hollins, Douglas and Williams, shouldn't the 5th and 6th be the players who have the highest upside?

Let's be real. The #5 and #6 are unlikely to get a huge number of receptions THIS year, even with one injury. After, we have several receiving targets in our RB's and WR's.
==========
WHO HAS THE HIGHEST UPSIDE? (choose 1 or 2)
BOUTTE
POLK
BAKER
CHISM
