Think what you want but the guy is clearly expected to be the top IOL backup at all 3 spots.With the #1's at two completely separate positions on day 2?
I don't think so.
I mean look at the competition? Who else would you have subbing in with the 1s? They drafted him in the 3rd round at a position with no depth of course they are going to push him to get ready.
Im not sure what you think teams do with rookies, they don’t sit them out for a few weeks to get adjusted.
