Schefter: Patriots reached agreement on a fully-guaranteed deal with second-round pick TreVeyon Henderson, per source.

Reiss: Once the Dolphins' deal for OL Jonah Savaiinaea at No. 37 came in fully guaranteed -- and the Bears deal for WR Luther Burden at No. 39 did too -- it was only a matter of time before TreVeyon Henderson's deal followed suit at No. 38.

And, for the record, according to OverTheCap.com, it should come in at 4 years, $11,143,260 total, with a signing bonus somewhere around $4.5M. [Their second-round numbers on their website are wonky, showing a base salary in 2025 of $0.]

Good for him getting the best deal.

Now produce.
Always a lot of uncertainty in any draft pick, but I struggle to see scenarios where he is not successful. Only a question of time and RB usually are rapidly integrated. The hardest skill to acquire is often pass blocking and that is one of his best strengths. I look for a big year.

His pass blocking technique is about as close to perfect as it gets. He sets himself, puts himself in position to get leverage on the rusher, and then decleats them. It’s awesome to watch. He’s going to get significant playing time from day 1, and I won’t be surprised if he ends up getting the most snaps of any running back. If they put Henderson and Lampe in the backfield together it’s going to be almost impossible to get to Maye.

He rushed for 1000 yards and 10 TDs last season for OSU.

I see the Pats throwing him the ball too.

I’m happy he’s signed. RB has become such a tough position most RBs last and average of 5 years. You look at some of our drafted RBs recently. Damien Harris in 2019, retired after the 2023 season. Had one good season with the Pats. Sony Michel, drafted in 2028, retired after the 2022 season, 3 solid seasons in the NFL.

Rhamondre Stevenson, drafted in 2021, 4 solid seasons so far. If a RB can make it to his second contract, and it’s a decent to big contract, then he may last more than 5 seasons.

Glad it's done. Obviously the dominos had to start at some point. Thank God we didnt take the other Buckeye RB. I felt Judkins was a tad bit overrated anyway. More than likely based on history of RBs this will be his 1 contract so I don't blame him for holding out for the best possible deal. I just keep reminding everyone that Mike Green was available and we shall see how that turns out.

well based on reports it looks like slightly less than $3MM/yr. Seems like a good deal for a rookie salary on a player we have such high hopes on.

Now 4 years from now we will see what salaries look like for RB's. RB's once were amongst the highest paid players. Maybe with the big impact RB's had last season, maybe the pendulum is shifting, and 4 from now, $10MM/yr will look like a cheap deal.

Judkins is a very talented back, a big powerful back with decent speed, he was the thunder to Henderson’s lightning. But I always preferred Henderson’s overall talent and his game breaking speed. It’s an old saying, but it’s true, Henderson is a threat to go all the way on every touch. We needed explosive weapons on offense, and we get that with Henderson. Hopefully they give him 15+ touches per game.

And, although being smaller than Judkins, he's an already incredible pass protecting RB.

3 million a season for Henderson is a steal imo, he’s going to be a great player.

Bless the modern day indentured servitude that is the NFL draft. The Raiders paid the price for the debacle that was JaMarcus Russel but every team reaped the benefit of their sacrifice

In the grand scale of things this is a very reasonable salary, for a player who had a great track record at Ohio and looks like a great prospect....
I believe that it was Vrabel who said in "Forged in Foxboro II" that the NFL stands for "not for long" so someone like Treveyon needs to protect himself and his family.

It was Andre Tippett.
