Jennings is already at DE.
Wozzy and I spoke on Jennings a few weeks ago on how he has value he plays DE/LB.. stops the run, coming along as a rusher, and plays STs.. he's a guy from the terrible 2020 draft that actually worked out. Nike must have picked him...

Yes Bedard can be wrong, but he sticks his neck out, and hits some out of the park.

Okorafor signed for about 4 million guaranteed. He had started 50 games at RT during his career. It was low risk with potentially high reward.

The problem was they had no one else as a backup plan.
He sucked, Leverett sucked, Jordan sucked, Wallace and Robinson were major reaches…

I don’t care or take seriously people who told me these were good signings last year. They have no evaluation systems, they guess.

To make it even more interesting Leverett was cut to make room for Benny brown.. Wallace and Robinson may have a future under some real coaching. Marrone is a very demanding coach. I expect Marrone to have 4 guys that actually know how-to block ready on game days. Also on a another note? Does the Henderson deal get done before camp??

You thought Sow could play tackle.

We all make mistakes.

Douglas Marrone expertise is OL so I like that.. not like YMCA volunteer coaching staff Wolf put together.
I am not a fan of Marrone, but I feel like the offensive staff as a whole is a massive upgrade. I am very optimistic for the season and excited about the LG competition during TC.

Well, we are going to find how good a coach Marrone is this year.

All coaches that have made it to A HC job in the NFL start off as position coaches somewhere.. Marrone expertise is the OL.. he's someone that Vrabel respected and felt is the right choice to coach the OL. The LG as it's been widely discussed will be a position to keep an eye on..

I agree.
on the cusp of camp starting, my opinion is 4 OL spots are locked down, barring injury or retirement. LG is wide open, may the best player over the summer win the job.
Marrone is interesting, and I hope he meshes well with McD.
Marrone played OL in college, and while he hung around the NFL for a good 5-6 years, with 6 teams, but only saw action in 4-5 reg season games.
he has been a college OL and TE coach and a college HC. he has also been an NFL OL and TE coach, as well as an NFL OC and HC.
he has a lot of young, in need of coaching, players to work with, plus a couple of vets that should lead the OL room. I expect we not only see an upgrade in OL play, but less OL confusion, fewer penalties and fewer missed assignments.
last season, we saw an injured and poorly coached OL with an offensive scheme that did not help the OL. we saw a QB in Brisset that simply isn't an nfl starting QB. we saw no playmakers at WR. Stevenson and Gibson flashed when the OL did their jobs. the only bright spot was Maye.
we now should see a much improved offensive scheme and OL coaching. we have playmakers at every skill position.

Correct on all points. I thought Marrone most impressive season was the 2017 year with the Jags.. he took Blake borttles to the AFCCG that season and had us on the ropes.. coaching was just so distarous last season it embarrassed RK.

So much disconnect last season.. AVP couldn't call plays as the OL was so back especially the OTs. Definitely agreed on a much improved offense. While the media keeps talking about us needing a true number 1.. we have a an all pro in Diggs who was on his way to another all pro like season in Houston prior to his injury. He will tremendously help Drake especially on 3rd down.

And our backup LT will be...?
Backups likely Sidy Sow as a swing player if he’s not starting at left guard, Marcus Bryant and possibly Wallace if he comes back stronger this season.

If Lowe could play RT, he would be a decent swing tackle in this league.

Lowe is not a starter. More is less. But there are worse tackles backing up in the NFL.

VD Low is indeed not a stating-caliber LT in this league; but he does have the size to play RT; so it wouldn't shock me if he sticks as one of our back-up OTs this season.

Too much on the Sow's plate; let him compete for the starting LG job and see what happens...

The other two: Bryant should Never have been drafted and Wallace was over-drafted by Two Full Rounds.

I'd rather have VD & DT than those two stiffs.

If the OL does well this year I am going to say it was just natural ability and not give Marrone any credit. LMAO

I really hope he can get them all locked in, honestly with Morgan Moses as essentially a mentor type I think the will be locked in and perform very well.

I guess I am far less worried about LG then others. Strange or Sow will have it covered to a degree that is not below average. I'm more worried about a rookie at LT or the 34 yo RT. I feel reasonably comfortable with the interior.

Camp, competition and health will sort it out.

Bryant has every tool except mobility, a tackle can get by with average mobility if he’s good every where else. Bryant was definitely worth a late round flier. Poor evaluation Captain…

Don’t know these ^ initials.
