Sidy Sow

Here are a couple of rosters where Sow is not included on the 53.

Also Greg Bedard, who is not well liked, but is right more than wrong, has Sow off his roster in his subscription area.

I think Sow should and will make the team, but as a guard, not as a two position player. They would bring a jag like D. Jacobs off the practice squad before trying that disaster again.

Some rosters, of course, have Sow making the team, but this is the definition of on the bubble.
I think sow makes the team. There's no guarantee Strange makes it past camp injury free. Sow is breathing on his neck IMO. Sow has shown he's a more than capable option at LG and on the right side as well. It was just a disaster last season the way his injury situation was handled.

Agreed. As a rookie Sow proved he was a starting NFL guard. And maybe a really good one.

But reality is he has to earn his job back.

Yes, he played well as a rookie and I feel he is in line for a bigger role in just feel like he's a valuable part of the OL and he's in the Don't completely suck category like some of our other players. I will tell you Lowe may be on the outside looking in.. he can't play any other position.

I think Lowe will benefit by moving to another team. He is the painted bird here. I wish him well.

He can only play LT.. if you want to call it that. He has no value to the team outside of a practice squad call up.

Go figure.. reiff, Anderson, Wheatley, guys who for some reason were thought to be starting level players here are not even in the NFL is don't believe currently? Lowe has one foot out the door.

Thanks. Yes, Bedard is right more than he is wrong, and he usually knows the trenches. Sow is a mystery, what happened to him last year after a successful rookie season? And he is athletically a NFL caliber player. We will see.

The volunteer Foxborough YMCA coaches couldn't figure out how to integrate him back into the starting line up. Oh I can understand Jordan and jacobs were having all pro seasons that's probably why! Ya that's it!

You’re overlooking how Sow played very well for a rookie in a terrible position and played the third most offensive snaps on the team. We’ve seen him play well… tell me when have you seen Lowe, Wallace, Robinson play well? Never is the answer….

Greg Bedard called Chuks Okorafor a “potential steal” for the Patriots after they signed him…. please, spare us.

Yes Bedard can be wrong, but he sticks his neck out, and hits some out of the park.

Okorafor signed for about 4 million guaranteed. He had started 50 games at RT during his career. It was low risk with potentially high reward.

The problem was they had no one else as a backup plan.

I think Sow was hurt last season.

The entire OL was out of sync. Sow might rely on more consistent play around him to be effective.

These ^ are the same people who told me last offseason that Okorafor, Leverett and Jordan were good free agent signings and that Wolf filled multiple needs in the draft by taking Wallace and Robinson.

Mike Jordan (& LT Zachary Not the HOF ILB Thomas) should Still be here instead of those two horrible, HORRIBLE ****ing less-than-****ing-useless blob right guards Lester the Molester & the Other Robinson who Sucks.

You are correct about ALL the other names you mentioned in your post, including the two suck-ass draft picks.

That's true. They have some guys with great first steps. The 350 guys are really good to have but in today's NFL are a bit archaic. We need guys with speed, power and techniques. Also don't be surprised if you see Jennings at DE as well.

Jennings is already at DE.

And our backup LT will be...?

If Lowe could play RT, he would be a decent swing tackle in this league.

Lowe is not a starter. More is less. But there are worse tackles backing up in the NFL.

Sidy Sow is best suited at LG. Let him compete with Strange and Tyrese Robinson. His athleticism is better suited to the left side.

Last year was bad for the Quebec-raised player from Ypsilanti-strong Eastern Michigan where he started one year at LT and four years at LG. In 2024 he suffered a serious ankle sprain, but ended the year as a healthy scratch. What the…?

Behind the scenes people may know the story. None of us do.

But holdover assistant OL coach, Robert Kugler, could fill us in. Scott Peters is gone, the guy who talked too much, used MMA stuff, and got into the weeds about where to strike with the hands. Not a fan. Didn’t the great Dante follow KISS?

Now the Patriots have Doug Marrone. He’s a former head coach who earned his chops as an OL coach. He’s a gem. It’s been five years since I’ve felt we had superior OL coaching.

So how’s this year going to turn out, Monsieur?

The kid has struggled in the run game. Shown promise in pass blocking. He has the size, length, and athleticism to be more than a backup if this year can be the bounce-back year. He is due.

I like this player. Good guy. Balding, speaks French, and is a good teammate. What’s not to like? Bon courage et bonne chance, Sidy!
I think he should get traded or have him explore more possibilities the just guard but personally I think we should trade him to a team that runs his offense better

Oh I like sow. That post was posted with respect to how much of an asset having sow is. I'm agreeing with you im eluding to how bad those guy's were last season, but somehow Sow once healthy couldn't get his starting spot back. He was the starting LG heading into the season.
