2025 Draft: Interior Offensive Line

Big question. If he figures out center, Bradbury becomes the backup.

Will Sow go back to his natural LG and get his head screwed on right?

Rookie-Sow-Strange-Onwenu-Moses

Could work.
The draft is about developing the future.

If Strange and Sow are our best, we should be drafting an IOL in the 3rd. I suspect that one or both of Strange and Sow will be gone after the season, and I don't see Robinson as so good a prospect at starting LG that we don't need to draft one.

It's also about filling holes in the present, especially during the first two/early-third days, i.e.: at WR & LT.

Plenty enough resources have been spent on the IOL as it is. Even while acknowledging the great value Wilson provided at 95, I still feel that this should've been the year to take a break from that and focus on LT. Drafting Seth McLaughlin as Mister Irrelevant, giving him a medical red-shirt year, and signing Drake Maye's bud Willie Lampkin IMMEDIATELY after the draft and be done with it is how I would've gone.

I do agree with your take on Laydown Robinson however: dude's NOT a Left Guard under Any circumstances, starting or otherwise.

I find this a compelling discussion. Charles Grant at 95? The LT from William & Mary with the whole package except development. I would feel a lot better about the OL.

Seth McLaughlin would have made the PERFECT Mr. Irrelevant.

I liked Grant as a developmental OT, but he is super raw and imo that is way too early to take a developmental piece like that. I like McLaughlin as well and agree with you.

I knew that we weren't taking another OT that high; and once Grant was picked at 98 there was nobody remaining in that range whom I liked anyway: Jalen Travis is really big, and athletic, and smart, but he's also really raw too; and Caleb Rogers, the Faiduhs other OLman pick, won't be able to stay at OT in the NFL, similar to somebody else I know...
