We need a long term C someone who's going to grow with Drake. Hes Bradbury like Moses are here for now short term vets to help with the culture. By next season Wilson should be ready to take over as C. Runner up is also Benny brown who's young as well and could really stand to benefit from good coaching.
Brown’s a stiff

As of said plentiful only came out of last season was Drake. Look how many former HCs and former coordinators we have on this years staff. We are loaded. Vrabel not standing for any type of BS staff like last season. When hiring them..Wolf probably called them and said hey remember that favor you owe me...
Twin: I think it was just Maye being himself: whoever RK was talking to outside the organization told him to completely Clean House. IF Maye did what he did with those Misfits the sky's the limit with this Real Coaching Staff.

Twin. You make a good point. I also think RK was embarrassed last few seasons going back to 2022.. I'm definitely sure he got some sound advice from someone he trust and respects. I also believe Twin JK also had a lot more influence in cleaning house.. I have to at least give credit to owners for recognition of mayo was a mistake. Yes Drake played last season of talent, and instincts. He beat Brissett not like that's hard to do. And didn't start. This season under Josh he only begin to tap his potential.

I understood Wilson saw some action as a reserve in college in about 20 games at LG. his Jr year he became the teams starting OC.
athletic and cerebral, he needs to get stronger to play OC in the nfl.
Sure. I understand that besides needing to be properly coached-up and some more experience, He's already an excellent pass protector as a Center. He has the ability to be excellent as a run blocker as well. It's just a matter of adding some extra pounds of muscle (which his frame has no problem taking), then he'll be a complete "sky's the limit" Center.

Bradbury is the putative starter this year, with Wilson and Brown developing behind him.
Brown’s a stiff
He looked promising on the field in the middle of the ****show last year.
Vrabel resigned him.
Exactly. He showed some promise last year, enough to be worth bringing back for some real NFL coaching. Even if Bradbury is a one year rental there’s some depth in the pipeline for next year with Wilson and Brown both getting a year to develop.

last year, after returning from a broken leg, Wallace played 15 snaps game 16 and 44 snaps game 17 at OT.
last year, games 13, 14 and 15, Sow played 3, 1, and 0 snaps respectively. games 16 and 17, Sidy did not play

I think it is a stretch to say Sidy was in the plans for the OL last year
Wallace developing behind Moses and Bryant developing behind Campbell seem like decent depth at the tackles.

There also seems to be good depth at center with Wilson and Brown behind Bradbury.

And at guard there’s Strange, Sow, Owenu.

Seems like a good start to go into camp with, and then we can see how things go from there. If nothing changes (no camp injuries please!) I think those ten seem likely to be the opening day OL roster.

Yes correct. Every player on the current roster and the eventual 53 will stand to benefit from real coaching this season and beyond.

Looked okay against lesser competition then got smoked versus better players.

Id rather have the depth. 17 weeks schedule and a week 14 bye week.
He might make the practice squad assuming health… we’ll see. But there will be better players available on other teams practice squads if things go south, Brown is a jag.

Yeah.. I mean.. himself, Lowe, Jacobs they are all Jags.. but important for depth as they all have starting experience i. The league.

For pennies, you need multiple centers in camp
We need three centers, hopefully on the 53.
STARTER
BACKUP
EMERGENCY BACKUP who usually is also a backup OG.

Vrabel chose Brown over Jake Andrews.

Yes, we need backups/depth at each of these OL positions.
LT (Lowe)
LG (Sow)
RG (L Robinson)
C (Wilson)
RT (Wallace)
================
emergency 3rd C/OG (Brown)
==========
I continue to believe that our weakness on the OL is at LG: starter and backup LG). And yes, I know that we won't carry 11 OL's on the 53.
==========
EDIT
Yes, the emergency backup OC can be Strange.

BEST CASE
SOW wins the starting LG position and Strange is first off the bench at LG and OC,

If you have a guard who can play a little center you have an emergency center. They’re not carrying 3 centers on the 53 man roster, not unless you count guards who have versatility like Strange. Barring injury or trade Brown isn’t making the 53.

They might have to depending on Wilson's development. You can't expose him to waivers but especially week 1 and early in the season there is no guarantee he's ready to take significant snaps if Bradbury went down.

I don't suspect it will be hard for Wilson to prove he's better than Brown so it's likely moot but not unrealistic.

Of course they could always consider Strange again instead of carrying 3 centers but then we have to consider how secure his spot is too.

fair enough
If we have a backup LG who can start if needed, Strange can be the #3 center.

I would note that Wilson may not be ready to be the #2 for Game One

If Strange and Sow can be counted on at LG, then we're fine. If not, we need to acquire a veteran LG.

Correct, if Strange didn’t get hurt the week before the regular season Sow would have started at RT. Sow had been given that job in camp and preseason.

Sight unseen Wilson is already better than Brown.
