The Bill megathread (HC at UNC, girlfriend, etc.)

That's fine but the odds he would have drafted Maye at 3 had he had the chance are very, very low.
Maye or McCarthy without question, he stated clearly QB was the Patriots biggest position of need on McAffee before the draft.

He definitely has longevity on his side. It's not like Gronk doesn't hold TE records too.

One game to win your life is on the line you get either player at their best who are you taking at TE Gronk or Tony G?

Is Emmitt Smith better than Barry Sanders? Based on your logic you'd have to choose Smith. My opinion is the gap is closer between Tony G and Gronk than Sanders and Smith but in both cases I take Gronk and Sanders despite shorter careers and lesser all time stats.
Woozy claims that Gronk is considered the best TE of all.

Yes, by NE Homers. Charger Homers believe that Antonio Gates is the best TE.

Some of your idiotic rants are enshrined in the PF HOF for Morons.

Tell us Ozzy, if BB knew that Brady was so good, then why did he wait 6 rounds to take him?
I think I know the answer he'll give. Brady wasn't good until BB coached him up.

If you had a choice of only one of them for your team which would you take? I think the answer is obviously Tom.

Who do you think is the better TE? I've seen both of those guys and other TEs back to the 60s. None of them had the complete game that Gronk had. He had an issue with injuries but he still produced.

If another team had drafted Brady it is doubtful that his career would have been the same.

Brady landed on the right team with the right coaches.
It was the perfect storm of QB/HC connections. The big-brained QB with the utmost respect for authority meets the big-brained, authoritative HC with a sharp mind for defense.

Nobody but **** Rehbein saw Brady coming. It's sad that he didn't get to be at Brady's side.

He couldn't possibly, realistically take him. The multi-year conniption fit Brady threw over Jimmy Frickin Garoppolo, would have been 10x with Lamar Jackson.
If you consider Brady winning 2 out of 3 Super Bowls after drafting Garoppolo a "conniption fit" then by all means they should have taken Jackson. Brady probably would have won 3 in a row.

Maye no not at 3. McCarthy most likely. Possibly Nix.

Look it up for yourself.

17 NFL seasons. He holds NFL TE records.

I don't know despite almost double the targets he doesn't double Gronk in any stats and it's widely accepted who the better blocker was.

Tony G just played longer.

BB did not really coach Brady up.

He taught Brady NFL defenses. He put Brady in an offense that Charlie Weis wanted to run which made life easier for Brady. Brady was not asked to do much his first few years.

Blocking.

Yeah, roll eyes.

Personally they are pretty equal in my eyes.

Both players had individual strengths that were better than the other.

Health aside, Gonzo was more fluid receiver. Gronk was more ferocious, powerful run blocker. Can argue Gronk was a more dangerous playmaker but Gonzo was by no means a slouch in that area.

It's also the Sandy Koufax/Pedro vs Steve Carlton/Greg Maddux argument. Who do you take for 15 years? Who do you take for their 5 best years? Who do you take to win one game as all four were GOATs in their prime.

The way I see it statistically Gronk is better. If the test is a single game for all the marbles I want Gronk. If I want longevity at an elite level to say build a dynasty I want Gonzalez. Gonzalez played from 1997-2013 (270 regular season games) and missed two. He is the definition of an ironman.

When Jordon is pegging Bill, does she wear a Giants 56 or a Tarheels 98 jersey? Does MattyP tape it from the sidelines?
JFC! Absolutely uncalled for.

Some people complain about my posting and lack of restraint. But this type of trolling is rampant and I shouldn't be expected to ignore it.

Relax.

Ignoring it is the best way to help it go away.

Reacting to it is the best way to make it happen over and over again.

Personally I was going to ignore it, but now I'm wondering if Mike Lombardi was there to apply the lube.

"I did not speak out because I was not a Jewish. Then they came for me and there was no one left to speak for me."

I may not be the hero you want but I'm one you need. We as a Patriot message board can't let this go unchecked. The world must know that there are true Patriots fans that will speak out against this BS.

Some people just can’t control themselves.
