What if Chism has a better camp than Hollins? What does Vrabel do?

If a player beats out another player, then they beat them out. It’s but a question of what happens of, it’s a question of whether it is realistic.

Also, “better camp” isn’t the criteria, a rookie can have a “better camp” than a veteran and not surpass them, all players don’t start even on day 1 of camp. Who will be the better player and who has a better camp are not the same thing.

Henry and Hooper will be less featured this year but still important mismatches. Diggs will be the only WR on the field all the time from week 1 to week 17. Williams role will probably be smaller early but grow as the year goes on. Douglas will be more of a slot guy early but as Chism comes on splits more time outside. Early we will see a lot more Boutte and Hollins (my guys to make it), but as Williams comes on more we see them less.

It will kind of look like this the first 8 games. Leaning more on the TEs to start the year

As it's been mentioned if Hollins isn't a participant in camp and other guys pass him on the roster depth chart his spot is not guaranteed or he see IR to start the season. Also Hollins was signed prior to Diggs, drafting Williams and the emergence of Chism. Hollins has a shoulder injury last season in Buffalo and hasn't been a participant all OTAs, and minicamp.

He got $259,000, Hollins got $3,500,000.
Now your argument is maybe they signed Hollins despite a debilitating injury and he can’t play all year so that why Chism makes the team?
What about Diggs, Williams, Douglas, Boutte, Bourne, Polk, Baker?

Is it a fact that he was signed prior to Diggs and drafting Williams? Is it a fact that Hollins has been a non participant? Is it fact that Chism has been coming on as UDFA?
