Yeah, I think that's a fair reaction. I just like having binkies to get excited about heading into camp. Can I be excited about Chism and completely sick of the excessive hype he's getting?
Might?? Oh trust me we do.Yeah, I think that's a fair reaction. I just like having binkies to get excited about heading into camp.
Overall, I just like being excited by the possibilities at WR. If Diggs is decent, that should open up things for the slot receivers (Pop and Chism) for the WR2s (Williams and Hollins?/Boutte?), for the tight ends (Henry and Hooper) and the RBs. We might actually have an NFL offense on our hands.

After the last couple of years, I'm going to need to see some evidence of it before I take anything on trust.Might?? Oh trust me we do.
Bourbe says look at my one year with McDaniels three years ago Sam.Bourbe is not making the team. His time has passed. Too many injuries. Left over from BB regime
Never lit it up consistently. Out with the old in with the new
3 years ago? That would make Bourbe 30 in August, which is 97 in WR years.Bourbe says look at my one year with McDaniels three years ago Sam.
And Mack Hollins turns 33 right after the season begins. . . .3 years ago? That would make Bourbe 30 in August, which is 97 in WR years.
Wow. If I were a betting man, I'd make a fortune on fan early training camp infatuations.
Chism has had a good day every day that's been open to the media.I have pounded the drum for a while that he's on the 53. I have it as Diggs, Williams, Pop, Boutte, Hollins and TBA. I think Bourne, Baker, Polk, and Chism are fighting for that last spot. If any of them can play STs, they'll have the edge. Chism had a good day here in the last couple, not sure which, with like 7 catches. That certainly gives him an edge on June 4th, but it's a long way to opening day. It's going to come down who can do something else and earn the spot that way.

Williams is a lock based on his draft position. But I agree with the rest of your point.I wouldn't say that Douglas is a lock. The only real lock is Diggs, the rest will fight it out.
I agree with @BTTA that it means exactly squat until they start playing for real. It's notable that they have him out there and he's making the most of his chances so far, but it doesn't mean his Wes/Jules 3.0 at the beginning of June. Good for him for making the most of it, but let's see how he does when they start playing in anger.Chism has had a good day every day that's been open to the media.
Have you watched the footage of him playing on Perry’s podcast?

Sure. I just don't think that this stuff they are doing now will matter much when it comes to making the team. The reason he's high volume is that he's a mystery to be explored, not because he's "outperforming" anyone. These guys, including the DB's, are all working on specific techniques like changing up an old habit with footwork in specific situations, or how they position their head on certain cuts, and on learning plays. It's like an MLB player taking batting practice; he's working on hitting curveballs low and away today, so that's what they are throwing him. The fact that he's only getting a few of them into play means nothing about what his batting average will be against live pitching.
