They both were UDFAs right? I'm not saying they aren't intriguing but I'll wait until training camp before I start moving guys around the depth chart.
This ^

I’m not even predicting Bell will make the team, I just like his chances.

And suggesting Lampe is a lock because he had “FB” on his college bio, is more fantastical then Bell who already made an NFL roster and blocked well.

Yeah, the NFL is made up of a lot of bad athletes.

Don’t sniff glue and post, it’s a combustible mixture.
Dont go senile online

You are trying to defende that good. Is good. Regardless of context?

4.6 forty for a 6’2” 241 pound guy is pretty good. Good, not great, in a limited workout.

But he blocked, ran and caught the ball in college, he was good. He scored TD’s and put up good production in the SEC and ACC.

He played last year behind two pros, he wasn’t seeing the field on offense. So he played where needed and played well.

Do you think his special teams coach, who was retained by Vrabel, will give him a good recommendation? I do… but good luck with Lampe.

I don't see him on the 53 this year. He is undersized and doesn't really do anything exceptionally well nor is he a freak athlete. Place him on the practice squad and see if he can be developed into a 2nd or 3rd stringer for next year if they move on from one or both of Hunter/Hooper. Next years free agency and/or draft needs to drum up a TE or two.
No, but he does a lot of things well. The reports said he was great at blitz pick up. He is not a traditional TE but more of a hernandez type. Think Kevin Turner type. A good blocker but not a sam Gash. 6-2 and 241 and he ran a 4.61 which is excellent for that size.

You watched zero, literally none Jaheim Bell tape. Stop lying.

Moreover insisting Lampe, an UDFA prospect and poor athlete who has never played a down of professional football, is clearly ahead of Bell who not only made an NFL team last year but played the 8th most special teams snaps on one of the better units in the NFL is silly.
the few you tube pieces on Bell show him in very, very limited blocking positions, and when he is shown, he looks horrible. I watched maybe 10 of his snaps last year in person, and he was a PS TE from my point of view.
meanwhile Dippre and Lampe have tape of mostly leveling people while blocking

no where did I say Lampe is clearly ahead of anyone.

what I am saying is Henry and Hooper are making the roster, and the staff more than likely will want a 3rd TE or FB whose calling card is blocking. thats not Bell

I just think he is going to be the odd man out in this group, we will see. If he was half as talented as the murderer we should keep him.

They probably want both a FB and a 3rd TE who is a good blocker. Probably even want a 4th TE too but that will cost an extra WR or RB.

I think we are in good shape with Henry and Hooper but after that I think the TE/FB competition is pretty interesting and somewhat similar to the CB competition. Which also has a fairly established top 3 and a wide open competition for the rest even competing a little with the extra safeties.

STs will probably play a big role who wins the last spots in both areas.

Like every other 3rd stringer he is going to need to excel at ST. My point was just not to look at him as a TE, but a multi faceted player who can be used in a variety of roles. There has been talk about Mcdaniels wanting to get back to using a fullback. 3rd and goal, sure Lampe is the guy, everywhere else I would think Bell has the edge

while all true, a variety of roles starts with blocking in line, which Bell did very little to none last year, nor in college
he was active for 15 games last year playing 46% of ST snaps, so he may find a spot
he had 83 offensive snaps last year, with 30 of those snaps in the last game against Buff

You’re comparing rookie college tape to Bell’s pro tape and search as hard as I could couldn’t find any pro tape on Bell… youtube had none. So you just made that ^ up. You’re famous for making stuff up.

Dippre has the inside track on the blocking TE role simply because of his size, strength and athleticism. Bell has the inside line on the FB position, because unlike Lampe he has actually made an NFL roster and proved himself on special teams and in limited snaps on offense.

Bell and Dippre don’t have to be in direct competition with each other at all. They can roster 3 TE’s and one FB/HBack easily.

read what I said.
I found you tube of him from college, and there was limited snaps of him in line, and when he was shown blocking, he was not good.
I watched him for about 10 snaps in the pro's in person, not on you tube.
he is not a good blocker
stop saying he is a good blocker. he isn't

do you have to argue with everyone? do you know how to disagree with out being offensive?

He played the 8th most snaps on special teams, he also opened up holes in the running game on offense. He was good.

You told me Okorafor, Jordan and Leverett were “good,” then they all got cut midseason. You wouldn’t know good if it slapped you in the face.
