Chris Simms: Still not a top five species

Who should’ve made the list:

Kurt Warner. He was badass from 1999-2001. Simms is off his rocker not including him.
Warner belongs in the conversation. His 1999 season was, at the time, a top 5 season of all time for a QB. For a short period, there was an air of unbeatability to him similar to Montana, Brady and Mahomes.

Steve Young is the biggest snub here. He was universally viewed as the game's best QB from 1991 - 95, and second to only Favre over the second half of the decade. Young was the OG Aaron Rodgers.

This is the same guy that ranked Drake Maye at the bottom of his top 6 qbs.
The only real egregious thing I see there, given what we knew at the time, was putting McCarthy over Maye. I’ve been calling McCarthy a bust from
day 1 and he has so far done nothing but reinforce that opinion.

Elway's catching a lot of **** from people who either didn't see him, or more likely just jealous he beat the Patriots all the time. He did have the benefit of having so many home comebacks before people fully understood about playing at altitude.
Been watching since the early 70s. He was wildly inaccurate. You could not trust him at all. You know who else beat the Patriots consistently? Bubby Brister. Heck, there's reason to hate Terry Bradshaw even more than Elway given the heartbreaking OT losses.

Chris Simms likes to be provocative and troll. I never take him seriously.

Simms is a douche, period.
He has his own agenda, facts be damned.
He doesn’t like to be proven wrong, and will defend his position even when all sense and logic prove otherwise.

Many knuckleheads here or in general don't even realize the 2000 Rams were on pace to obliterate records the 2007 Pats and later the 2013 Broncos would've had zero shot of catching before injuries kicked in.

I could see him on the list as well. 49ers were never the same after Waters left. Defense collapsed in 1995 and they couldn't run the ball when it mattered. That franchise has had the worst luck when it comes to injuries. The talk is the power plant today, but this has been going on for 30 years now. They squeak past GB in 1997 with a healthy Rice and Hearst. Easily handle Denver in the Super Bowl. They squeak past Atlanta in 1998 with Hearst, but wouldn't lost to Minnesota a week later.
